I have had ceramic window boxes for over 25 years. Working on a house refurb recently and needed some dark grey options. These came up on an internet search. I have NEVER seen such glorious, long lasting flowers- still look fantastic 4 months after planting and on a South facing elevation. The two removable internal sections with handles make the planting easy and not heavy work once filled with soil and plants - easy to remove for change of season planting. The water storage system in the base of the planter has an easy to read indicator at soil level which is ingenious. One water to maximum on the indicator can easily last several days without the soil dryng out and it was a scorcher May & June this year. The supplied pebbles create great drainage and encourage plant roots downwards. On top of that the planters are sturdy & look great. Mine were placed on window ledges, so cannot comment on balcony hanging system. Loved them so much bought new ones for my house too. 5 stars all round. Best Window boxes I have ever used.

Quite good planters and have bought a few of them for the house. They are quite long lasting however the only issue is that most of the time all Lechuza products have inflated prices.Suggest buying but definitely be on a lookout for discounts/ deals etc. It would be a no brianer over other planters if the product was 20% cheaper.

My wife found these and wanted to buy them. My initial view was that the product was to be avoided! A more pretentious name than Balconera, from a company called Lechuza I could not imagine. The names put me right off. And the description of a rattan style made from plastic did not impress me. Obviously pretentious rubbish!Then I read some of the customer reviews, and they were almost all 5star, and they heaped praise on the product. So I reluctantly agreed we would buy two... can always send them back if they turn out to be the rubbish I expected.HOW WRONG CAN I BE! The rattan style plastic trough is actually very nice, has a nice quality feel to it and looks great. The design and build quality of the product is second to none (I spent my career managing product design and development and know a good product when I see one). The self watering mechanism, although not tested in anger by me yet, looks well thought out and well made. I cannot praise this product enough, now. Just first class.My only suggestion would be to find a more sensible name than 'balconera'. I'm sure there are potential customers who are really turned off by such a name, as I was.

I am a great fan of Lechuza self watering planters and have several in different shapes and sizes. I have fitted two of these planters in front of my windows and I am very pleased with them. You have to buy the brackets separately if they are to be fitted to a balcony or in my case the wall. The instructions for fitting to a balcony is very clear and looks straight forward. I fitted them to the wall just below my window sill. They do not come with fixing bolts or plugs. There were no measurements showing distances between the brackets and fixing holes or any recommended sizes of screws or fixings. Having said that I didn't have any problems fitting them and I like the way the planters slide onto the brackets with a fixing screw underneath. They are very secure and easy to remove for replanting etc.

It seems expensive when you add the brackets, but the 80cm is cheaper than others of that size. But it is self watering, has a planting box that lifts out so its managable and you dont damage the trough putting it back it can be used in or outdoors and can hang on a balcony. I am super pleased its a great peice of kit

I'd been searching for ages to find what I wanted and theses are perfect. Lovely planters, easy to set up and use. I love that you can take the insert out to plant your plants then but back into the main planter, makes things so much easier.I had a missing part, so I sent an email over. Within the hour I got a response and received my missing part in less than 2 days. Brilliant customer service and product, thank you

When you look at this plant pot it looks amazing and the introduction video is very helpful but the only downside is the brackets that's not included if you buying this to stick it to a railing is going to cost you about £90.00 on my opinion it doesn't worth.
