Best cat toy ever! I have 2 young indoor cats and regularly purchase a variety of new toys to keep them entertained. I've bought several rather expensive interactive toys that have held my cats attention for at best a few hours. This laser toy is an exception and from the first time I set it up for them, they have enthusiastically played with it. It's been about 3 weeks of daily use and they're still eager to play with it and will actually look for it and "complain" when I take it away for charging. The random pattern of movements of the laser makes this such a great design, other auto lasers I've seen/used basically just have back and forth circular movements which don't hold my cats attention for long. The trajectory of the laser can be changed by placing the device at different heights from the floor (the higher the device is placed the broader/longer the range of the laser beam gets). It's rechargeable and uses a standard usb-c cord. It does take a few hours to fully charge once it's dead, but it holds a charge all day with repeated play sessions throughout the day. Another great feature is that it can be used while charging. I purchased a second device for my son's home and all 3 of his cats are also obsessed with this toy, so unanimously it's been approved by every cat I've seen encounter it.

I also have a "1st generation" model as well but that never really caught on because it basically goes in a circle, sure it changed direction and speed but in the end it just goes in a circle which was its fatal flaw. Not only are my cats picky but they are smart. A few nights of maybe 15 minutes of play was all the original one was worth before they turned their noses up to it. However, this new randomized version is a totally different story (so far). It truly is random and not just mechanical back and forth motion either, it varies the speed along with trajectory, sometimes even coming to a complete stop for a few seconds to give them a chance to pounce. The way it moves the laser point around is moist comparable to that of a fly, which they also love, I imagine for much the same reasons. I have noticed they've figured out the laser is coming out of this device and seem a little less enthralled with it but I just put it away for a night or two and they start screaming for it back. The automated on/off cycle of like 15 min on/2 hours off (or something like that) is a very nice addition too, making it just right for their little attention spans and their natural zoom/sleep/zoom/sleep cycle. Plus, the battery life is actually pretty decent. Just make sure you charge it ahead of time because it is slow to charge, like several hours. Let's hope for a couple of years of play before the battery naturally runs down.

Hours of fun! Definitely keeps the cats entertained. It seems durable enough the only thing I would suggest is to put it somewhere up high where there's not a ton of furniture as the Lazer gets obstructed.Other than that it's the perfect size and worth the purchase!

I've only had this a few days, so the newness hasn't worn off yet, but at least for right now, my cats love this toy! I love that it's not dependent on me to turn it on for them too. They get more play time throughout the day (and night) since it comes on automatically. Even if they get bored with it, it was worth the money for the play they're getting now.

Very happy with my purchase. My cat really enjoys the lazer light & it keeps her engaged & entertained for quite sometime. The lazer has a good range of motion with going in an unpredictable pattern with different speeds to pick from. It also very quiet where I don't hear that it is on.

I love the potential for this toy - being able to place this down anywhere and letting the cats go ham on it is definitely a neat idea. However, this toy absolutely fails the installation vibe check. The bottom of the toy is empty and the size of the base is such that it absolutely just doesn't sit well anywhere. The toy being so top heavy means the slightest nudge topples the toy right over. How am I supposed to secure this so my cats don't destroy the toy in the process of playing with it? I struggled to find a good place to put this so it would run and not get pushed over. The only thing saving this toy is the fact that it is random when it shoots off the laser and it runs even if you leave it plugged in. I may end up destroying the base this is on to figure out a better way of placing the toy down. I mean, who doesn't counter balance a top heavy toy with a heavier base???

I have three cats. They are all rowdy. This has been great. All three of them will chase after it. I have it set on the foot of my dining room table. They knock it over to three times a day. It keeps working and the setting is perfect where it goes off every couple of hours the cat's chase after it and get tuckered out it's great. It's holding up to three cats beating on it so it's pretty durable and good quality it's cute and simple design I haven't had to do any cleaning of it and my cats like it
