She scary fast.
So, it is way bigger than it looks, super heavy. I have never feared for my fingers as much as when I ground 60#'s of pork butt today. I couldn't feed it as quick as it could grind. It is quiet enough. I used it to run my meat mixer. 1.5hp of fury. Would I recommend this to my mom - no, too heavy.

It's A Beast
This is awesome, compared to my older aluminum setup, with similar wattage. It has its shortcomings though. This grinder is designed for high output, unlike my old and slow unit. While my old unit had small openings and high torque, this one has BIG openings and little torque. This unit pumps out a lot of grind, but you need to make sure NOTHING is partially frozen or has too much gristle/silver skin. The directions warn against certain things, and as long as you abide by the rules, this monster will last for years. The first time I used it I had partially frozen meat. It did not like it, stopped, and blew the safety breaker. It started back up seconds later, but the instructions did warn me. The second time I used it I was grinding some pork butt for sausage. After using it the first time, I realized that this thing can handle large chunks/strips of meat. So when I put in a big chunk of butt in, I was surprised that it stopped again. It did not blow the safety fuse, but I knew something was wrong. When I opened the exhaust up I found a long and thick chunk of gristle wrapped around the blade and worm gear assembly. In closing, no frozen items and no crap that you wouldn't want in your grind anyway. Follow those two rules and this 40+ pound machine will spit out one shat load of meat. I'm happy I purchased it.

industrial strength, great power, well build
processed a 1200 lb steer with this; so about 400lb of ground meat; maybe more went through. Works well and I thought even with more course plate one round produced a good product. Like any grinder you need to be sure to cut meat into manageable strips (which for this machine are pretty big) and clean the grease from it now and then. I was nervous because I had a lot riding on this machine; if it went bad a new one wouldn't arrive in time to process, and i'd have to freeze stew bits, but it worked great. I used the sausage stuffer to fill game meat bags easily. Now I'm eating the best ground chuck, ground brisket, etc that I've ever had. The fact the impeller etc was all solid steel is what sold me; I saw some that had plastic impellers, sure to sheer off. This one is a big quarter inch of steel coming out from big honking motor. If it lasts I consider it a tremendous bargain and great quality.

Can't Grind Chicken Thighs
Website says "this versatile meat mincer that can even grind chicken bones and frozen meat!" A label on the machine says "CAUTION For Grinding Boneless Meat Only". The website also has Q&A that says "Q: Can you mince the chicken skeleton? Answer: This meat grinder can be used to ground chicken skeleton, but it is not recommended to ground turkey skeleton or hard chicken skeleton such as old hen." Not sure what they consider "old" or "hard" or how one would determine the age or hardness of a store bought chicken? So I contacted manufacturer and they said "you cannot grind chicken thighs' on his meat grinder". Waste of time, tired of the lies, sending it back.

This thing is a monster!
I bought this grinder a little over a year ago for a commercial dog food business I started. I have ground 1000's of pounds of beef, and whole chickens bones and all. It has never jammed up or stalled, it chews thru everything! I have actually worn out the auger, blades and grind plate. Will be replacing it with another one. Great value for the money.
