LOL - This sure beats the plastic grocery bag I was using. I love this yarn barrel. I'll agree with another reviewer that making the extension black and white striped was a design failure. Why not make it the same color as the rest of the barrel??? To see how much it could hold when not extended I added two 1lb skeins, a 12oz. skein and a 6oz. skein. Truthfully, I could have still added a 4oz. skein without having to force it to fit. The first photo shows it filled and the other shows each of the skeins alone so you can see the size and brand for a better point of reference. (I tried to select yarns that are sold at most craft stores around the country.) There is an abundance of pockets for hooks, needles, and other accessories. If I'm following a pattern I make a copy so I can mark it up without destroying the book it came from, therefore I can fold the copy to fit in one of the 4 large exterior pockets (one is clear plastic). There is a 5"x6" clear plastic zippered pocket on the inside of the lid. There are 3 narrow pockets which each hold individual hooks or a pair of small to medium knitting needles. Given all of the storage compartments and varying ways to use them, it comes with a padded shoulder strap, but also a handle on top of the lid for versatility in carrying. There are 4 grommet pass-throughs for yarn. They're smooth on both sides so yarn won't snag on them. The lid also has a zipper on top so things can be slipped in without lifting the lid. This was designed by someone who actually crocheted or knitted. It is very well sewn - sturdy thread and secure seams. The fabric is similar to lightweight denim and is lined with plastic making this somewhat waterproof. I would highly recommend this to a fellow yarn lover. It would make a very thoughtful gift, and the price is right.

It is spacious! Pros 1. The colour is a very nice shade of pink but darker than what's pictured. 2. The quality material used is of great quality. 3. The shoulder strap is adjustable and the handle has enough room to comfortably accommodate hand size. Both are of great quality. 4. The attachments used are off metal and not plastic. 5. The grommets are well placed. 6. Five external deep pockets 7. Three hook slots 8. Spacious on the inside 9. Each compartment-5 total- comfortably holds up to five skin of yarn up to 364 yards. 10. Has a pocket on the inside that can be used for stitch markers and tapestry needles. Cons The expansion of the bag doesn't include the interior. External pockets will not accommodate bulky items and will take away from the space on the inside of the bag. Although it would've been nice if the expansion included the interior, this bag was very well constructed and was definitely designed for the on-the-go crocheter or knitter are these words😁 I highly recommend you will not be disappointed.

This yarn bag is nothing fancy, but it does its job well. The yarn feed holes are the main feature, and they work the way they should — no snagging, no weird tension issues. I’ve used it with both standard and bulkier skeins, and haven’t had problems. The bag is decently constructed. The material isn’t luxurious, but it holds up and keeps its shape. Zippers are smooth and haven’t stuck or split. Storage space is about what you’d expect — enough room for a few skeins and some small tools. It’s compact, but functional. If you’re looking for a practical bag to keep your yarn from rolling around or tangling, this one checks the boxes. No complaints.

Very sturdy, beautiful color, storage capacity is great for my needs, design is great with the straps anchored on the side of the bag rather than the top, everything is easily accessible and the coat was stopper reasonable. Definitely recommend.

The pockets and compartments are very useful. The design of the bag makes it easy to carry around your supplies and organize everything in a convenient way. The color is pretty too.

I love this bag! I've had it for a while now and it's easy to use, easy to travel with, and great if you have a couple projects going at once. The inner pockets are fixed, but they're not rigid and that gives your internal storage a lot of different options. I love the top zip - it's a great way to have a project right at your fingertips but also easy to shove back in when you have to get up and move. The expandable storage via bottom zip is neat - I don't use it much out of personal preference, but it was handy to have when I was working on a large piece. Definitely worth the money I spent on it and it'll be my little.crochet companion for a while to come!

This is a high-quality bag—a strong, well-organized bag with many compartments to hold all my knitting essentials. The only downside is that it is a little smaller than expected.

Nice bag, I love being able to run the yarn through the grommets to prevent tangling as I work on my projects. The spaces for the yarn skeins are only for a regular size skein, so the 14 to 16 oz skeins are just in the center. Made it easy to take a project with me as I could have all my supplies in one place. Love using the clear outer pocket so I can see my hook or scissors and get them when I need them.
