based only on online reviews, i took a chance and bought this machine without trying it out.it was everything i could have hoped for and more.the machine itself is sturdy, solid, heavy. runs super-quiet with minimal vibration.and after several sessions, the battery hasn't run out on me once. after a five hour session, it still seemed to have enough juice to run for another hour. the inclusion of the rca adapter is a nice touch in case you're afraid of the battery completely giving out on you. (note: when i bought this, there wasn't a 2-battery combo available)the only thing that could be considered a "con" would be that it's a bit thicker than my previous machines so i had to buy bigger protective sleeves for it (i had plenty of 2" wide ones but had to get some 2.4" ones). i personally don't see this as a con, tho, as it actually saves me from having to wrap as much grip tape on the machine.the stroke adjustment is a bit hard to turn but, once again, this is actually a plus as you do NOT want that changing on you mid-session or when you're adjusting your throw. if it was intentional, it's a clever design.now.. the question on everyone's mind.. does it hit hard enough?ABSOLUTELY! i haven't even used it past the 3.9mm stroke and it's hitting like a jackhammer! now, to be fair, i've not tried to use it with anything bigger than a 120913rm but, as you can see from the photos, it has MORE than plenty of punch to pack the ink in.i have no complaints about this machine thus far. it has stood up to long sessions and heavy use. if i HAD to find a complaint, it would be the lack of a second battery. but given the fact that that's not a quality defect of the machine, it keeps its full five stars! HIGHLY recommended!

I’ve been tattooing for 8 years, and have lost any loyalty I have to bigger brands like Cheyenne and FK Irons. Those were machines that I used at the beginning of my career, and they broke down quickly.This little “disposable” Amazon machine is by far the most convenient machine I’ve ever had the pleasure of using. Paired with reliable cartridges (Kwadron or Cheyenne for liners, or a good ol’ Hextat for mags), you have a versatile, powerful, and long-lasting machine.My coworker dropped hers once and broke the internals, so they may not be incredibly durable, but at this price point, it isn’t unreasonable to have a backup. Fortunately for me, her loss was my gain as I now have 4 batteries that I can cycle between, potentially increasing the longevity of this machine for quite some time.Having an adjustable stroke length was the selling point for me. At 4.2, I can push large mags or bold liners without issue. I never go below 2.7mm stroke, but that works great for fine-line work or soft black and grey.Phenomenal machine at a reasonable price. You can’t beat it as long as you’re willing to learn how to use it.

Got this to start my career as an apprentice, and it's worked great. Battery life is about 6hrs, goes up to 10V (though i have never gone that high), and the adjustable stroke is great when i need to do different things like lining v.s. color packing. I've had it for about 3 months and have had no issue!

Great machine, runs well and worth the money. If you’re a beginner or trying to learn how to tattoo on a budget, this machine is the one for you.

Skip the kit and just get the 2 batteries. Unlike the Archer, this battery doesn't last 15hrs lol. So the back up is needed. But the kit was crap. Just a few things you don't need. Especially the box of needles! They gave me #04 1RLs....when would anyone ever need that small of a needle!?! I tried one and pulled a line and thought the needle was gonna snap! But the machine is great. Only prob I have with it is for some reason I can't keep it wrapped. I bag it and tape it and the bag constantly slips forward. I've tried taping harder and further back and it still moves. But that's a small complaint compared to how awesome the machine is. You can't beat being able to change your stroke like that. If Bishop followed suit I'd switch but until then I'm sticking with this guy I think. Better than the Peak Solice that's double the price. Def a good buy

Machine works good however I've had to use it with my power supply because the batteries I received were bad, one doesn't take a charge and the other doesn't hold a charge works for less than five minutes and it dies. I've contacted Amazon and the only option is to return via UPS pick up and that has been a pain in the rear. I work all day and don't have time to hand it to the UPS driver and they won't leave a label or give me the option to go drop it off.Easy fix send me batteries to swap out and be done with it all.Update 1.6/29/2024 Mast Direct contacted me about a refund then offered to send out a replacement kit today is 7/3/2024 and they haven't sent out a tracking number or an update on the replacement.Update 2.7/3/2024 Mast Direct shipped me one battery I guess that takes care of half the problem lol, did not ship out what they said "Thank you reply, we can send new machine again to you, do you agree?" I have messaged them and waiting on response. Stay tuned for update three lol.
