Q: When the source file is .mkv or .mp4, 4k atmos with subtitles, routed thru a receiver with 4k/atmos, will the video play smoothly? shield pro won't.

I've only played mkv 4k files but with various hdr and audio formats and they have all played and decoded properly after installing the last update. Prior to that update, they all played but for an occasional infrequent 20 second freeze which appeared to be caused by some kind of issue in the audio track. Since the update I've seen a rare audio only drop out for no more than a second or two; very infrequent. The vast majority of files play perfectly all the way through.

Hello. Sir Samsung 4K TV can support HDR10+ but dolby vision not. If your TV and receiver cannot support dolby vision, dolby vision video will output as HDR10 on your TV.

This model has a 16gb internal hard drive on the board. You will supply your external USB 3.0,2.0 for your media. On usb 2Tb,4Tb,8Tb,10tb!!!
