In the box I would say 40-50lbs. Put together the weight feels different because you can slide it in place.

Can you replace the draw handles?

Yes. You don't have to use the handle/drawer pulls that come with it. I ordered the white dresser and put crystal irredessent knobs to give it a totally different look!
