Mixed feelings.
Good: The chisels are well made, sturdy, decent quality steel, solid, well fitted handles.Bad: the sharpening clearly depends on who's on the line that day. Out of 12 chisels, I have 2 that would be fit for use after the usual mirror polish. The rest have angles that vary from 45 degrees to nearly 80. I spent nearly 2 hours bringing the 1" gouge to usable shape by hand.Is it worth it? If you can sharpen chisels, have access to a bench grinder, and the time, then yes, they're a bargain. If you're lucky, and get a full set, well sharpened, yes. If you're unable to sharpen, or unlucky, then you're looking a a hell of a learning curve.

Good quality
Very pleased with these chisels. Especially for this great price! They feel like good quality and are well-made.

The ones that have taken an edge do do the job pretty well.
Some of the pieces are proving to be a little difficult to sharpen properly due to their shape, though that may be me. The ones that have taken an edge do do the job pretty well.

They’re Bigger Than They Look!
These tools look superb, they really do! They are much bigger than they appeared to be judging by the photos, so if you’re after something small, these aren’t (check the dimensions okay!). Speaking of which, each chisel has its individual size stamped on the metal; ensuring that the user selects the most appropriate one for each cut, so that is really handy isn’t it.They feel real sturdy, heavy and strong, and have great wooden handles. The materials seem to be of a really great quality to me. These chisels come complete with a soft plastic roll-up style case ~ which is pretty good.Of course they require sharpening prior to use (but that is pretty standard as far as I can gather), so don’t be put-off by their initial ‘bluntness’; a sharpening block IS included.All-in-all, these ‘Bad Boys’ are really rather fantastic, and look to be able to withstand many many years of use. They are superb quality considering the price tag! They really are a fantastic set of wood carving tools.I bought these as a gift for Christmas, so I do need to tell you that I haven’t tested them, and therefore I can’t give you any details regarding the actual performance, the longevity, or the true quality of these tools. But honestly, they really do seem to be excellent, and certainly worth the price!I do hope that this Review hasn’t been a complete waste of time (mine and yours!) considering that I haven’t actually tried them out. But, I just wanted to let you guys know that these chisels look and feel like really great quality, and I believe (based upon merely handling them) that they are of super quality, well made, and are as good as it gets ~ I really did ‘shop around’ for the best I could get, and I would have paid much more. But I’m really glad that I got these, as they are brilliant; perfect in fact. Also, they were really well packaged, and were delivered in super quick time (always a bonus!).

Not good
Well made but not sharp, I use them to practice my sharpening techniques before I attempt to sharpen my expensive chiselsEvery one of these chisels is sharpened at the wrong angle and some can’t be sharpened at all, No good for beginners they are not sharp enough and don’t keep their edge very well, I would not buy them again because I just wasted my money and had to buy a better set for more money. My advice is save up and get a better set or buy individual chisels has and when you want them.

Greta on soft woods
Work well on soft woods but struggle with oak. Maybe I'm being unreasonable asking that of them though. These are quite large so not really suitable for delicate/intricate work but I use them for larger patterns in bigger pieces of timber and for this they do the job well.

nice
wanted a set that was in between top end and basic, these for the price are as good as a set three times the cost

For smaller jobs/DIY.
A nice set, would say they are for smaller jobs or diy jobs as I have had to sharpen them a few times.A good set none the less.
