Epic radio
The first Ronald I bought I expanded it with a 1K (0.25W) resistor to add the 11 meter band (27Mhz) and it performed as expected, I installed it in my brother’s truck and replaced his existing NMO antenna with a Hustler HQ-27 center load, the radio internal SWR test function registered 1:1.0 Ch-1, 1:1.3 Ch-40 and 1:1.0 at the center of the spectrum Ch-20, with an external SWR meter the SWR readings were very identical except for Ch-20 which registered at 1:1.3 while channels 1 & 40 remained the same, as for the PEP wattage output it’s below the 50W around 40-45 watts PEP which is fine but it has the potential to be tuned up closer to or at 50W or even slightly higher, it is a menu driven radio like the other President radios to adjust the RX/TX settings, echo, color, EMG channels, etc, my brother is very happy with his upgrade with the Ronald from the Johnny III, this radio is so good with it’s specs and features I ended up getting another one for myself. Edit; for those who are experiencing TX power issues, you will need to turn up the RF power by keying up and holding the PTT button then a quick momentary push of the chann selector knob (Push) to get into the RF power settings, turn the channel selector knob to raise or lower the RF power, take note of the LCD bar just below the frequency display while adjusting the RF power.

Great little radio
Bought this to put in my daughter's jeep, small size is great for modern vehicles. Did the resistor mod for CB and made adjustments in the service menu. You can find YouTube videos how to do this. I turned the modulation all the way up with high dead key at 7 watts. Mic gain all the way up with a tiny bit of echo. This thing rocks and swings to 45 watts easily. Stock electret mic sounds great. Doesn't sound scratchy at all, big clean audio. Got a second one for my dad's jeep. Same price as cobra 29 and this little radio blows it out of the water. Update: I have 5 of these now. Plan on setting up a few of them mounted in ammo cans with a battery for portable operation when camping etc. Wire dipole antenna easy to make and keep in the can. This radio goes on sale from time to time for $99 if you are willing to wait.

Small 10 meter with a good 35 Watt kick!
Bought for the size and the look. Great radio, added to my 10 meter collection. for the 35 Watt AM you will get more power than CB. Use AM/FM and clear sounds. No complaints on end users on TX.

Awesome compact radio that delivers an eye opening punch in audio!
I love this radio so much that I bought another one! So now I have one as a base station and another in my Tacoma! Awesome reception and both of my President Ronald's will do 45+watts right out of the box! Great compact radio for those who don't have a lot of room in their vehicle. I paired the radio in my Toyota Tacoma with a Wilson 1000 magnetic mount antenna and my SWR are 1:0 across the 11 meter band!!! I recommend President Radios every day, all day!

I had to return it because it did not do USB 10 meters.

Great radio BUT....
Loaded with features however don't be fooled by the output advertisement. 50% modulation 15 watt rms and 25 watt pep is what mine does without putting it on a tone generator. Turn it down to 1.5 watts and it swings to 5 pep again without a tone generator. On a tone generator it performs as stated but I don't know anyone who can talk with one. Other than that I really like the radio. All the features you like in a great small package. Too much to list them all but they all work great. Forget the mounting bracket. It's too cheap. I used one off of one of my old dual banders. Yes it's that small. If there was a way to eliminate the limiter so you can get 80-90% modulation talking I would give it 5 stars. This would be a great radio for a Jeep club if they want to convert it to 11m. 73's
