Good so far! Just got today, very easy setup and good amount of space. It is secure enough so my hammy won’t escape and the opening is easy to use.

So far, so great! I was looking for a while to upgrade my hamster Cleo's cage for a bigger wooden one. I came across this one and decide to risk it even though there weren't many reviews. The cage arrived, and it was easy to put together, even if you don't have experience building or a lot of physical strength like me. The size is good for a dwarf or small Syrian like Cleo. Love the sliding doors and the fact that the roof is inclined also makes it a nice shelf on top for her supplies. It arrived 5 days before it was supposed to, and she's very happy with her upgrade. Downside is I wish it had more ventilation as I thought the top doors were mesh and not acrylic so i like to keep one of the top doors open, also the sides didn't include the holes to install the top door securing clips, so I will have to do those manually. As for cleaning I hope that it doesn't absorb much humidity from urine, so I'm looking into getting cage liners or even ceramic tiles (and eventually more enrichment toys). Also, I think the price is a bit high for the size.

I love this cage, and my hamster does too! The cage is big enough for a Syrian hamster (which is the biggest hamster in the species, so basically it can fit any hamster). The pee pad protects the wood nicely, which saves work when cleaning the cage, as it keeps it on the pad without any cleaning needed. And it has 2 ventilation sources! The ventilation sources can also be used to hang toys, such as a thing to chew on that can be attached to a paper clip or nail through the ventilation holes. I definitely suggest this cage!

Directions are minimal, but if you are used to building flat pack furniture then you will probably be fine. Tools included were dirty/used condition but we had our own that we used. Overall, pleased with how it looks and (very important) how it locks on the top. Our dwarf hamster seems happy in her home.

The item arrived promptly. The package is decent. The space and size are as described. However, the wood shavings are inside and it’s a bit messy. Some rough edges required extra sanding to smooth out. But these are just minor issues. Here are the bigger problems:Ventilations are only on the sides. The top two display openings are also closed off with acrylic windows. I made the mistake of assuming it was made with wire mesh. The description is somewhat misleading.There are a couple of molded wooden sticks included in the tool accessories bag. I’m not sure why it’s in there since the instructions did not mention these sticks as part of the included items. Clearly, it’s rotted, molded, and falling apart inside the bag. It’s disgusting but luckily it didn’t touch other items. I still had to disinfect the whole set and air it out for it to dry.The protective film on the acrylic windows is difficult to remove. There's no indication about films on the acrylic windows. At first glance, we just thought we got a rough and poor-quality acrylic.There is one piece with extra pre-drilled holes. It will weaken the integrity of the wall and I had sealed it with wood glue. This looks like a mistake on the manufacturing side. The parts that are screwed in by the manufacturer are also misaligned.Overall, the major flaw with this cage is the ventilation. Rest I could live with or easily fix. But I would not recommend it.

The product is very sturdy and goes together easily. There was some misalignment with the holes from one piece to the next so I will deduct a star for that, but it doesn't really affect anything.Some reviews say to use an impact(they call it a drill) for the screws but I would avoid it because a) the included screws go in easy with the included screwdriver and b) it can strip the wood and create a less secure enclosure. Not a big deal, but for the bottom edges it can lead to liquid leakage.One suggestion I have is when its time to remove the protective film from the acrylic on the lid, use a dull knife around the edges of the wood, on top of the acrylic, so it peals away easily and doesn't tear and leave pieces of the film stuck under the wood.

The media could not be loaded. I think it great purchase for my hamster. I do recommend to buy. Came on time plus very easy to put together. It comes with bottom pad to from pet odor.
