Mechanics of Machines

The book ,as an item, was in amazing condition and it arrived on time. That is not why I gave a bad review.If you're buying this book that means you have to for a class....be forewarned that this is the WORST textbook I've ever attempted to understand. The examples are convoluted and confusing and the presentation is intensely horrible.May Academic-God have mercy on your GPA

Not a very good book. Has many typos and is not clear. After going through college I expect better from a text book. Especially at this price point.

The book sucks, no real explanation for anything and half the equations have sign errors.

I have only gotten through the first 3 chapters of the book and I have to say I have been impressed with the book. Problems I have done are regarding Velocity, Mobility, Velocity and Acceleration using Instantaneous Centres and PolygonPros- The explanations for most part are clear and there are tons of pictures of mechanisms- In Example problems, the author repeats previous info a lot and does them in detailed steps which really helps to hammer in the concepts- The companion site is excellent for gaining more insight. The worksheet provided in companion are a life saver as it means I don't have to draw the mechanism to analyse them; the worksheets has the mechanism drawn alreadyCons- Some sections need work. For example, the section on Instantaneous Centre was helpful but had some info missing that prevented most of my understanding. I had to look at other reference to understand it.I hope to write a more detailed review as to which section needs work and which reference I used to complement my understanding. For now, this is one of the better books I have looked at for Mechanics of Machines/Mechanisms/Machine Kinematics, etc.PS: I am a 3rd year ME Student.

MecE 362 is a challenging class but this textbook helps a lot. There are a few errors so make sure to talk with your prof or classmates to ensure all formulas are correct.
