I love these egg timers with the happy tunes. I do think you have to be willing to experiment to make sure the timer’s song aligns with your idea of a “hard boiled” egg. I found it is very close to perfect.

Making a single egg is one thing (thought this device still works well for that) but I've found this thing most useful when you're making a large pot of eggs for something special. Case in point: deviled eggs.Application is super simple, instructions are written on the side of the box but after a few uses you get the hang of it. Plop it into the pot with water and the rest of your eggs and simply follow the directions and when the little egg sings the right song you're done!This makes it so much easier to cook a large batch of eggs all at once and means I don't have to lose track of or hyper-focus on my eggs. Then its as simple as taking them all from the water, rinsing off the timer and setting it aside for your next use.Price is pretty good considering how effective it is and I find the sight of it floating along inside my pot pretty amusing. I got the heart eyes design which is fairly cute so I can recommend it.

I was really looking forward to using this but this little egg is not crying because he's laughing - he's crying because he arrived broken.While the package was unopened and otherwise pristine, the product inside had a large, visible crack in it. So I don't believe this was a result of shipping, but rather an issue during manufacture.Whatever the case, I was disappointed to find this egg was scrambled before I could even use it.
