So I bought this actually a whole ago. This item i need to start streaming and record gaming videos. I wanted something that was on the cheaper end. Instead of the top of the line brand due to me just starting out. I could always upgrade later if I get big enough. Anyways the functionality of this item is perfect for me. It works exactly as intended. I have no issues with recording gameplay. I use this along side my legs to game capture. Audio quality works as you'd expect. If you're on a budget or looking for something to fill the gap until you feel like you need a known brand this will do it for you. I personally am still using this and it has been about 1 years with it I believe. Might be under a year but it is still working. It is definitely a great value for your money. Ive had no issues with freezing or any glitches. Knock on wood. I've had this thing for a while now so I'd say as long as the price stays fairly low. Id just keep buying this if I needed a replacement or multiple for different setups. Would definitely recommend this.

I DO NOT RECOMMEND. I used this with my Sony ZV-1F camera for podcasting and a webcam, it was used most weekdays during work. 3 months ago - it just stopped working. I tried a different capture card and it worked just fine. Not sure if there is any warranty on this product - it's not in the manual and couldn't find a warranty card. Bad product!

Easy to use, great quality and does all that's needed

If it is supposed to be a UVC device, it doesn't properly utilize UVC. No camera works, had to go into device manager to uninstall and reinstall, went through a litany of device options and still couldn't get a picture from my camcorder which either outputs 480p or 1080p. I'd be interested to know if EDID spoofing fixes anything but beyond that, you're paying for the Guangzhou Special.

Giving it three stars as this was working perfectly fine. It was an initial plug and play, but like some reviews on here, depending on what updates get pushed out on what software you use (windows, obs) if the update doesnt support how the device would work. Again you get what you pay for, if you don't buy the big name brands that have constant updates to support all the other updates then sometime you'll be stuck in the mud like me. Camera worked fine was smooth and quality was good for the price, just didn't end up working out for me and I returned the item.

It works with obs 4k with 60 fps but hdmi is 1.4 there is no hdr😖 but it is what it says it works great with the obs so I can play my ps5 on my MacBook 5/5

This is an excellent Camera Capture Card that works nearly flawlessly. It's fairly simple to set up as it doesn't require any drivers for it to work, and OBS detected it as a video capture device immediately after I connected it to my PC. Aside from the USB end, it has a single HDMI port on the other end which makes connecting your camera (or console) a simple task. The Capture Card does include an HDMI cable, however, it is a standard HDMI cable with full size connectors on each end, which will not work with my camera and a lot of other cameras that use Micro HDMI or Mini HDMI outputs- so you will need a separate cable for your camera to use this capture card.Once connected to my camera, the passthrough to OBS was virtually lag free. The capture was very smooth and didn't have any hitching or lag. The manual that comes with the capture card did mention to do an offset to avoid any delay or lag, but I personally did not have to do this step. The only issue I noticed was that on rare occasions I would notice a bit of "static" or "noise" showing up on darker areas that was not showing up on the camera directly. However, this could be an issue with my Mini HDMI cable as it did not show up when using the included cable with my PS5.As far as consoles go, it will also work to capture your gameplay. However, you will need to make sure that your HDCP settings are disabled for it to capture your console output. Additionally, where I didn't notice the lag previously would now be apparent at times with noticeable De-sync between gameplay audio and video, and despite the offset instructions, I found that capturing my game audio separately through a 3.5mm splitter was a better experience. I can't complain much here as it is primary camera focused anyway.Overall, this is an excellent capture card that's smooth and responsive when capturing my cameras, but can be a bit tedious for console use. It works immediately without any drivers needed. If you just want to record video using your DSLR, Mirrorless, Camcorders, or other cameras through your PC, then this is a great way to do it. I highly recommend it!
