Sturdy and easy to install on large privacy fence gate
Installed 2 —one on each side of heavy 10 foot double gate for 6’ tall wood privacy fence—work great, easy to install. A few notes:Did have to make a couple of modifications from the package directions. I had to adjust the bracket placement on my fence due to the gate supports. Package said put lowest support 3” from gate bottom but had to go with 4.5” and definitely had to lower the middle support 1” otherwise would not have had enough drop to make sue both top and bottom of rod would have enough support for high winds. Also when putting on the top hardware on the first rod, I was off a little from level (which was an error on my part) which caused the rod to rub and interfered with dropping it down. Fixed the screw placement and made sure to check the rod had free movement when installing the second. Found it easiest to just mark a straight line down center of post then used level to mark cross-lines—allowed me to quickly align the brackets to avoid the error made on the first one. Would recommend checking to make sure drop rod stays in both lower supports when setting height of top bracket so the rod stays in alignment in the “up” position. [pictures are from before adding the receiving pipe in the ground for the drop rod in the down position]

Basic, simple, gets the job done.
We just moved into a new house that has an RV access. Double wide gate with an anchor to hold one side in place with a latch to hold the other side to the anchored. We had some crazy 25+ mph winds with a big storm a few weeks ago that blew the one half of the gate open. This happened twice within a week. Decided to buy this to anchor the other half down.Simple install as i already had a masonry drill bit. Lined everything up and screwed into place. The gate has not blown open since.

Well Built-Sturdy- Easy Install
Item was well packaged and arrived safely. Easy install, took about 5 minutes total. Have used it 6-12 times and there are no issues. Unit is sturdy when installed and screws are long enough to hold. We opted for a longer model to go deeper into the ground. Not sure of longevity as far as color fading, rusting, etc. Installed on wood and goes into grass.

works great
I use this on my double barn doors. I mounted to my door, marked on concrete that was 1 week old and drilled appropriate hole. Worked perfect and exactly what I needed. For the record mine is mini 2 story hay barn with double 4 ft wide doors. Unpaid review here.

2nd order, well designed , quality components
Update: First cane bolt worked well on our main shed door, so i installed a second. Took me about 15 mins even with having to notch wood on the door.Make sure you plan out component placement before drilling screw holes as each door can be different from the illustration on the back of the package. Even my dual shed doors required different layouts for range of travel needed for each cane bolt, etc.Original review:The parts and the installation are pretty straight forward. Parts are of good quality, and are coated to protect against corrosion. My plan is to simply let this cane bolt drop on my lawn to keep my shed open, but depending on how that works, I may have to put a pipe in the ground as the directions suggest (note that the pipe isn't included).Haven't completed the install yet - just templated it and have to drill a notch on my door for the bolt to clear (likely just specific to my application), but once I have some experience with the use of it, I'll post an update and some pics.

Difficult
I purchased two pairs of this product based on Adjusted a Gate recommendations. It comes with wood screws which don’t match with attaching to Adjusted a Gate metal frame. Had to purchase different screws to attach. Not a big deal but another run to the hardware store.

Good quality product
Good quality, as shown good size. I installed this on the inside of my external side entrance to the house down below the knob near the bottom of the door. I installed this after my side door lock was picked recently. Nobodys gonna be able to kick that door in now without making alot of noise first. It's as shown and comes with two sizes of large screws to put it in. Took me 10 mins, and Voila.
