A good mix of ingredients
The SocialSKN Essential Oils for Sinus Relief arrives in a printed cardboard box - suitable for a gift. The advert claims this is a GMP-manufactured product but this is not printed on the bottle -. GMP is important for product qualityThe glass bottle has the ingredients printed on it: olive eucalyptus, peppermint, rosemary, and frankincense. It is described as an essential blended oil - and so I guess the essential oils are already diluted in olive oil - so you can use this directly on your skin - but skin test first. The scent from the bottle is lovely and I would be happy to use it - even if I don’t have sinusitis - which currently I don’t so I cannot confirm efficacy - but considering the ingredients I see no reason why it should not help.Overall a good mix of ingredients and at £9.00 I would be happy to buy.

Not quite strong enough and already diluted with olive oil
I do tend to suffer from sinus problems from time to time, and this oil is somewhat helpful for relieving congestion in the nose, to enable you to breathe more easily. It smells remarkably like the popular nasal inhaler you can buy in all the supermarkets, only not as strong and potent. My main gripe with this product is the list of ingredients, or in this case lack of it. When buying an essential oil, especially one that is marketed as a premium aromatherapy grade product, I want to know what percentage of essential oil content I'm getting for my money. The packaging does clearly state this is a blended oil. However, by also suggesting that you should add 4-6 drops to 10ml of carrier oil before you use directly on the skin, leads you to believe this oil is more potent than it actually is. I’ve been using it neat on the back of my hand with no ill effects or irritation, which you obviously shouldn’t do with pure essential oils. This oil is already diluted, with olive oil being the first listed ingredient. This is obviously cheaper than the actual essential oil content, which is peppermint, rosemary, frankincense and eucalyptus. I have no doubt the drops of those oils in this product are of premium quality, but for all I know, this bottle could be mainly low cost olive oil with just a few drops of the good stuff added. I would prefer it if this bottle only contained a blend of undiluted essential oils, then I could add the necessary amount of carrier oil needed, and adjust the potency myself to suit my own requirements. It not all negative though, this oil really does smell good. If you just want to clear your thoughts for a moment, it’s handy to keep nearby and rub a few drops onto the back of your hand, close your eyes, then inhale and exhale slowly and deeply for a count of 10, while sniffing the fragrance of this oil. I guarantee that afterwards you’ll feel calmer, less stressed and mentally sharper.Back to the intended purpose of this oil, I personally don’t find it strong enough to actually clear my sinuses. It just doesn’t quite hit the mark. All traces of fragrance vanish from my hand within less that 30 minutes. I still enjoy using it though, and it makes your bathroom smell lovely if you rub a few drops all over the shower head nozzles before you have a shower, then let the steam activate the oils.
