Carrying bag ripped on first day using it.

After being out on the patio for over a year today, I went to fold it down due to a inclimate weather. I want to grab the strap to holds it together. It's open and it just ripped on me. And then when I wanted to grab another section, it just ripped on me like it just disintegrated, not a very good product.

Wasn’t sure how this would do in the wind since the hinge to tilt the umbrella doesn’t feel as solid as I thought it would but it did fine. The key is keeping the umbrella level so the wind doesn’t catch it. We got caught by a downpour and it kept us dry too. We ended up using one umbrella per person but your mileage may vary as they say. I highly recommend hitting a discount store near the beach for a better anchor or the wind might take this from you. I don’t trust the tiny screw at the bottom of the umbrella but for a couple of bucks those bigger plastic ones held it great. Overall good value for the money.

To start with the positive, the umbrella came in two pieces and was super easy to assemble and disassemble. I'd say that maybe it ways 5lbs max. My 4-year old put it together with minimal assistance from me. The image is the umbrella being held up with my chair holder and is not anchored into the ground. I did try to stand it up with the anchor, but it wouldn't stay. I bought this for the beaches of Florida, so I'm not sure how it'll pan out on the beach. The height is adjustable, so that is a perk. It does well blocking out the sunlight. My only issue is that upon picking it up at the post office and opening it (it came in a LARGE box, taller than me which I'm 5'8"), the carrying case was torn as seen in the video. I bought it because of the carrying case as I'm taking a trip to Florida by myself with kids and needed to be able to throw it over my shoulder. The tear did make it a little more tricky to put back in the carrying bag.

The Caribbean Joe Beach Umbrella is perfect for me. It's destined for a very specific purpose: creating the perfect shady spot on my patio. I'm talking about those scorching, absolutely still summer days when even the covered porch needs a little extra help. My plan is to set it up in a five-gallon bucket filled with sand, providing a sturdy base right under the porch. It's strictly for patio use—on a still day. Thank You.
