Nothing like the thin lightweight mylar emergency blanket, this is a strong poly tarp, not unduly heavy or unwieldy but strong enough to give you confidence in it. It has a reflective side, that seems to be fairly strong too. For the price I paid, this is a five star bargain. But beware, this is not a camping tarp for a hammock, look at the sizes before you buy it. Big enough for a quick shelter if you were caught in a storm, ( I got it for a floor in my 2 man tent, reflects heat back superbly) but not for a camping tarp you need to live under. But hey, it's still a bargain and good quality.

Excellent product

Used it once, just to sit on while out hiking. Got some mud on it, put it in the shower, hung it up outside to dry. I noticed there was still a patch of mud on the blanket so I wiped it with a tissue. That was enough to remove the top plastic layer of varnish and lifted off some the colour. That's how flimsy this thing is. I don't have high hopes for its longevity.

Folds up great in my bug out bag and is absolutely sturdy and perfect for multiple uses. I enhance durability of the grommets with duct tape but have had no need to worry, just a precautionary measure!

J'ai pu tester ce tarp dans differentes situation. J'ai pu l'utiliser pour m'isoler du sol humide lors de bivouac en forêt ou encore pour me proteger du soleil en festival dans le sud de la france durant la canicule.Les + :- Ne prend pas de place rangé (volume d'une grosse paire de chaussettes)- léger- isolant-nettoyage facile avec une eponge et de leau savonneuseLes - :- observation d'usures sur le côté argenté dès la deuxième utilisation- cordelette de qualité faibleJe recommande pour un usage sporadique mais peut etre interessant d'avoir sur soi en randonnée pour l'utiliser comme ''nappe'' de pique nique si le sol ou l'herbe est humide.

We bought this to use in our RV to block off the cab from the rest of the RV. It works great! When we are camping in cold weather, we turn the silver side towards the inside & our RV stays warm. When it gets hot, we will turn the silver side towards the windshield to keep the heat out. It is not made from flimsy material but is more heavy duty.

Mehr muss ich eigentlich nicht sagen.Die Matte hält was sie verspricht. Es war sogar fast zu warm mit der Matte die letzten Nächte draußen.

Bonjour j’utilise ce produit depuis 1 ans et io est vraiment top il m’accompagne a chaque bivouac ou trek cette bache isole tres bien je l’utilise dans mon hamac et meme quand je dors par-terre sous un tarp mais elle ne rechauffe pas elle isole juste bien a ne pas utilisé comme couverture de survie comme celle des pompiers.
