I got this for me and my husband to do and we both enjoyed it so much! It’s very well made!

This is a difficult tree to build with the iffy instructions. There's not much holding it together. When your done, set it aside and just admire away from any wind or tremors LoL. These are the mini Legos I think they are called? Not the normal size but not the micro either.The lights that go around are too bright!!!! I ended up placing a 100 ohm,1/8 watt resistor just before it connects to the string inside the light box. That's for those who can solder. I also disabled the flashing. Again, those who know how to desolder.This will be a nice tree for years to come but be careful storing unless you want to duplicate next year. It's very very fragile. I prefer the train but this is nice too.

I bought this advent calendar for my lego loving 10 and 8 year olds. It's a great idea poorly executed. The layers that you add on each day don't always fit together. Some pieces and layers snap together perfectly but many pieces and entire sections don't snap together all the way, which is a pretty big problem when you're building layer upon layer. My kids are great with legos and can build complex sets, but these are not legos. My kids quit after 10 days of frustration. I tried to pick it up from there, but its not a matter of skill - the pieces just don't fit together. If lego makes a calendar like this one day, I'd buy that one.

I bought this for a coworker who loves to do puzzles. This brand is her favorite puzzle brand.She just raved and raved about it all month long in December. Don’t give it to them at Christmas though and make them have to wait until a whole year later to do it! Best to give this gift before December comes. It comes in individually wrapped packets for each day, so you only need to dedicate a little bit of time every day to it, and then it all fits together to form one big puzzle in the end. Thrilled with this purchase!

These are awesome to do as a family. It makes a huge puzzle very manageable.

The calendar was very fun and exciting to build! The pieces are smaller than traditional LEGOS. I even had some extra pieces to use from this one for another advent calendar that was missing important pieces. The tree is beautiful and the lights are fantastic. However, the build construction is a bit wobbly near the middle and top, so I would be cautious with it or glue it if you’re worried about it breaking.
