This sleek little humidifier is a WINNER!!!!!! It blends in nicely among my plants and I love that it has an option to turnoff and off every two seconds. It runs silently all day. It is SIMPLE to open and refill. My husband decided to buy two (kinda expensive) little plants that required a lot of humidity. I searched the internet for some very small humidifier and decided to try this one because I liked that it was really small and it had a nice look to it. I was VERY happy when I opened the package - it LOOKED like a quality item. Read the instructions (took 1 minute). Put it together (took another half minute). Then plugged it in and there it was - worked like a charm. I really can't even believe how great this product is and at an amazing price. Oh, and the best thing about it is that I have it on my kitchen counter and there is absolutely NO condensation on the counter below it or on the upper cabinets above it! I know, sounds too good to be true. But it is. Yes, a cordless one could be a good option. I am so impressed with this product, I am not thinking I will check out what else this company makes.

I've been using my Geniani humidifier for about a month now. I purchased it because of its reviews and its good price, and I am glad that I did. The product, as it came out of the box, was easy to understand, and it set up in maybe five minutes, and that's including the time it took moving the little table I set it on into the right position in my bedroom. The transformer/power plug slid into the socket quickly, and the humidifier looks sleek and nice as it sits in my master bedroom. I use a product called "Force of Nature," a natural form of hypochlorous acid which acts as a sanitizer, and I easily fill the humidifier with a 1 liter pitcher of water with about two tablespoons of the Force of Nature solution suspended in the water. The pitcher makes for an easy, no-touch filling of the water tank. It took me a few nights of pushing the single button to figure out how to set the humidifier's output to my needs (if I can do it, I KNOW you can!), and it took a mishandling on my part to spill water on my pretty wood table to see how the humidifier is constructed. None of that is a worry, however, as there's always an adjustment to any new appliance in the home. The actual humidification of your room is SILENT. Okay, that's a teeny fib, there's a bit of a whispery-hiss as the vapor rises from the humidifier, but I don't even think it would quantify on a decibel meter. The tank lasts me usually two or two and a half nights. I refill it every other night, regardless, using water from the tap and my Force of Nature sanitizer. One of the best takeaways about this product? I have a cat who has FHV, and she gets very dry sinuses in the winter. The other morning, I found her on the ottoman next to the humidifier, lying under the mist from the humidifier, relaxed, enjoying the moisture as it enters her respiratory system. What a joy to see that she has figured out that the humidifier's mist means good things for her! Since cats don't respond well to essential oils--they do not metabolize the oils and they build up, unhealthily, in their systems, I have not used the essential oil "trapdoor," so I cannot speak to how EO's work in the Geniani. That this is a US Veteran and Family business is a bonus. Thank you for a good product.

So to quote another shopper who purchased the Geniani who basically mentioned my concerns and appreciation for it, CHRISTI Description is misleading but it works well. Reviewed in the United States on August 23, 2019 Verified Purchase Color: White "This unit is super quiet and puts out great. However the description is misleading on two points which is "top filling". By reading the description I was under the impression that all I had to do was pour water in the top cover which by the looks of it has a slot on top. When I received the product today the directions says do not fill the unit with water that way but rather take the lid off and pour it in." I do want to add that I liked the amount of area it covered. I would recommend the product for a small room. It is an ideal choice if you are looking for a humidifier AND an essential oil diffuser. I would rate it a 3 as an essential oil diffuser. There is a small copartment in the back that has a sponge. This is where you add 8 drops of your choice of essential oil. The scent is eventually filtered and diluted. So it isn't potent. However it is a fantastic humidifier. Absolutely sound proof. With 4 mist levels, and an automatic shut off after 3 hours. Ive definitely had less allergies. It works great for cleaning the air in the room, and the mist works great for my houseplants.

UPDATE: LEAKY PIECE OF JUNK. we purchased this in July and ran it once as a test. After our son was born and we needed to start using it in early October, it self-destructed. It actually was leaking water somehow out of its bottom, which we did not think was possible. When we reached out to the company to ask them to honor the warranty and help us to troubleshoot the issues, they did so only after my husband had corresponded with them multiple times and initially claimed that we had purchased the product more than six months ago, which we had not. We then did not receive any communication about what had gone wrong with our unit after we sent it back, whether we were getting a new or refurbished unit, etc. We only received the tracking information from them after my husband reached out again. I am going to attempt to use the one that came in the mail, which does not look like ours or a new model. I am crossing my fingers but I am extremely disappointed in this company and its product. ANOTHER UODATE: The replacement they sent also leaks everywhere and turns on sporadically. We did a bunch of research before choosing this humidifier, and although we have only had it for about a week, including one cleaning cycle, it seems to be by far the best humidifier we’ve ever had (and there have been several). In general, I feel the benefits of having a humidifier are often largely eclipsed by the hassles of trying to keep it clean and mold-free. They typically have scores of nooks and crannies, and even cleaning efforts with toothbrushes and q-tips do not always manage to keep the inner workings pristine. What clinched my decision to order this model was the fact that the water tank is top loading, and the entire lid comes off, allowing far better access for cleaning the internal surfaces than on any other water tank we’ve had on a previous humidifier; it also means fewer spills/leaks when refilling, too. You can also almost completely disassemble all the internal parts for cleaning, and the manual comes with helpful instructions for vinegar-solution cleaning. One thing that could perhaps be improved is changing the “medium humidity” light to be something other than purple, which is maybe too close to the blue color that designates high humidity when the machine is operating in smart mode. However, even having a smart mode is a really nice feature. I should also note that we are using only distilled water, which means we may be avoiding some of the hard-water-induced white dust issues that can occur. However, the white dust problem seems like it’s more the fault of hard water than the humidifier, and all humidifiers seem equally likely to produce it. We will be mainly using the humidifier in our nursery, so it was even more important to me that I can keep it running cleanly, and we are optimistic after our test-run week that, for the first time in a long line of humidifiers, with this product we will be able to achieve the goal!

Absolutely awesome humidifier. I purchased one 5 years ago and it has been such a good humidifier, so picked up another one. Quite and easy to keep clean.

UPDATE: 4/5/2021 ok...so...I originally had this at 5 stars...going to downgrade this a bit after all the time using this. Now, I was new to the whole humidifier thing...so wasn't really paying attention to the "clean weekly" aspect. After the first month, I decided to do a cleaning. What I can only imagine is that I must have destroyed an emerging civilization cause I could have sworn I saw tiny aircraft flying out from the spout as I took it off and inspect it...I do feel bad! But OMG...there was "stuff" everywhere in there...some pink mold, slime, skyscrapers with tiny living things...just so gross! But this was on me...I didn't follow the directions...well...the directions that say to clean weekly. This next part, I put on the company as its not design well for a thorough cleaning. Yes, you can clean the underside of the bin and the base with not too much effort...EVERY WEEK... please do that...otherwise you leave it longer and you could be killing an emerging intelligence. its almost impossible to clean the long shaft where the mist comes out of. I was able to get a bottle cleaner that could get in there...have to do a lot of twisting or turning and I used scorching hot water to try to get it all clean...but its not very easy to get to all the nooks and crannies of this device where if you leave even a little bit of mold/slime...it comes back pretty quickly. the company also doesn't really provide a good "cleaning" regimate in the manual...which would be helpful. what would also be helpful is if all the parts could be easy to remove and replace for cleaning...but...they are not that easy to remove...in fact I'm afraid to try on some of the because I don't want to break anything. I would also recommend that they make the slot bigger at the top for the water filling...maybe more of a keyhole...so more water can go in quicker...current design makes it easy for water to run off the side if you try to fill to quickly.. And as I mentioned in my original review...the essential oil pad is basically useless...nice touch...but i just use an essential oil specific mister to get the scents I want in the room. The unit is still running...very quiet...adds the needed moisture to the room...so that part is working...which is why I'm still giving it 3 stars. Would I recommend it...Now that I know more about how these work and the maintenance...I may look for something different down the road Original review: This product seems to be working great so far. We live in a desert climate so it is very dry and humidity is very low. have been using it since we got it a week ago and its been very helpful in putting needed moisture into the air in the bedroom. it is primarily a humidifier...with the slight added bonus of being able to add essential oils. BUT, it doesn't diffuse the oil aroma as well as the smaller ones that specialize in doing that, so don't go by that added feature if that is the importance of your purchase. it does provide some scent, but nothing like the smaller devices where you put the oil directly into the water. its all a matter of whats most important to you. its easy to use, i will update my review later with my cleaning experience. I purchase the black one and only now have some concerns on being able to visually see if any mold or mildew will show...so i will just have to create a cleaning routine that cleans all parts just to be sure. so far, very pleased with this device...lets see how it holds up

Geniani where have you been all my life! ; ) I have spent a couple hours overall reading reviews and tried a PureGardian 1st. Sent it back due to a gurgles of water that woke me and I have hearing loss! It was also a bottom loader so inconvenient. It did a good mist though. What i like so much about Geniani was everything. Top water Loader ( I use distilled water ) very simple no moving the humidifier to bathroom . Misting options 1-5 #1 being a smart mode but to much for me woke up damp. Next night I turned it to low which was perfect slept straight thru the night, very unusual for me. Any light from device is very minimal. I only wanted a 1 to 1.5 gallon so I could not waste the water when I frequently cleaned it as it was only for my medium size bedroom. It's top loading! totally convenient, so easy right there without moving the humidifier. I always put it on a tray anyway to protect furniture just incase. Tried it in kitchen 1st to check noise level before moving to bedroom, put water in and immediately started producing vapor and later no gurgling noise even as it ran out of water. I never thought Id get excited about a humidifier but sleep makes all the difference in my day. Only negatives so far which are far from any issues, 1. spout is non-adjustable but the vapor still goes up a good amount. Not a problem. 2. you need to tap the button 1-5 for the setting of your choice and last one turns it off. A non issues really. Note: I've only had this for 1 week so can't talk about cleaning or mineral build up. I use distilled water to try to keep that to a minimum. Very happy with this humidifier so far. I will comment later if needed.
