Nicely priced welder that can even make me look competent!
I’m not a professional welder but need one as a hobbyist for classic car repairs. If you gone on the internet you’ll get all sorts of reviewers telling you not to buy a “cheap” welder….only Miller and Lincoln oil cooled will do. That’s fair enough if you want to pay several thousand pounds, but if you weld infrequently, like I do, that’s way too much. I bought this to replace my old transformer type welder. It’s much lighter due to its inverter technology. I’ve found it easy enough to use provided each time you weld you do some practise runs to get your eye in. It’s great for MIG welding thin sheet, and I’d say anything up to 3mm. It will do more, but I’ve not tried that. I’ve not tried stick welding yet either. All in all, a great welder, which I paid £300 for.

Great value welder
I've been welding for nearly 40 years and this is a great machine. I've been using it for just over 2 years now, all using flux core wire - 0.8mm. It's easy to use and very capable, whether it's small car repairs or heavier fabrication work. The MMA settings are fine too but mostly I use the FC wire. It's paid for itself easily in the time I've had it, we'll worth the money and just as good as some much more expensive welders I've used.

Excellent machine, even for a complete beginner
OK, I'm a complete novice at welding only having run a few beads on a friends machine before now. After looking around this Rohr seemed to offer great features at a competitive price. It's really easy to set up, although the manual isn't really that much help. First couple of runs worked perfectly and I was quickly running good looking beads with what to me seem like great penetration. So with a bit of confidence I purchased some square section tube, and welded up a basic dolly frame to wheel my new welder around. Sure, the welds wouldn't win a beauty contest, but a few minutes with a grinder had them smoothed off. Overall, a great machine for a weekend warrior such as myself.

works better than the sealey welder
welder all appears good - we bought a top range sealy mightymig thinking we were doing the right thing , and returned it 3 times without doing 1 job, faulted on first one . poor machine build quality after that decided to try this ,it been good . powerful enough for the jobs we've required it for and set up was easy . delivery was quick ,unlike other items order on amazon to complement the welder

Real quality for a budget machine
I sold my Parweld 171c a few years ago in favour of buying a Jasic Tig welder, at that time the Tig was awesome for my needs but as time went on I really needed a Mig again, I was going to go for another Parweld, but looking at the reviews and the sort of work I was planning, I thought I’d give the Rohr a go. Very impressed with the quality of the set so far on box opening. Tools like this are often a case of you get what you pay for, but to be honest the mig torch alone feels far more expensive than it actually could be at the price point. I have yet to try it, as I have been working and away this weekend, however next week I will be in the work shop to give it a good go. I’m expecting it to be fine for my needs, mainly 25mm box section and 2-3mm plate. Only slight issue I’ve found so far is the side door isn’t quite aligned right, seems the hinges are slightly mis-aligned, it doesn’t affect the use, just makes the door slightly stiffer to open. All in all, I appreciate I may only get a 12month warranty, and after that maybe I won’t get the service support of the Jasic or parweld, at this price point I feel you are getting real value for money. Really excited to start using it and get my project finished. Rob

WOW..! You just have to have one of these.
Wow..! I have been stick welding for years and as my old welder has eventually given up the ghost I figured it was time to try welding with a mig. Not wanting to just buy a mig, just in case I couldn’t get on with it, I looked around and found this one. It’s a stick and mig welder in one. I thought I could try the mig and if I wasn’t impressed I could revert to the stick. Well, I must say I am very impressed with this machine the mig is a doddle to use and welds beautifully. The stick is as you would presume, is a stick welder. Brilliant piece of kit and I just wish I had looked at mig welders years ago. Well, no I don’t really, because if I had looked at mig welders years ago I wouldn’t have looked at this. Very easy to set up, very easy to use and produces some beautiful welds.

Dogmeat welder
Crap welder don't buy. Feed mechanism is absolutely dogmeat, kinks the wire constanly meaning I've actually wasted so much wire I had to buy a second spool

Worked well for me!
I needed this welder to weld exhaust on my car to pass MOT. The price I was asked to pay for garage to weld it for me was half the price of this welder. So I’ve decided to buy it weld myself learn new skill and pay of half the price on my first welding project. I used MIG welding for my car. It was easy to install the flux welding lead, plug and weld :) After a two day training I could make reasonably good weld - good enough to fix issues with the exhaust on my car. I am very happy with this welding machine and also very happy with the next day delivery From manufacturer as I bought it last minutes before next day delivery Opportunity should have gone. I do recommend this product and the seller!!!
