1-Phase Buck/Boost Step-Down Transformer - 240V Primary - 220V Secondary - 34.4, 45.87 or 80 Amps - 50/60Hz

This was more of a "necessity" item for welding from a generator and the only only way I could buy one was here with Affirm, so it put me a tough spot.I think the shipping price is unusually high, but other than that it does seem to a high quality piece of electrical equipment. I have used it more than once with my multi-process welder with no problems. Just be sure to purchase the correct electric al cable and have it properly wired. Some wire nuts come with it and of course proper wiring instructions. EXERCISE CAUTION when using any electrical equipment like this, I am always pro safety. I have to use mine mobilly, as i use it to "buck" down the voltage from a 240v outlet from a generator to a usable 220volts. Be sure to connect the ground wire even if you use it in a mobile manner.I would give it 4 1/2 stars, but it's not possible.
