Amazing book about real life situations!
This book is everything you want when sitting down to read. I love both of these authors so I had high hopes for Mallory & Brent's story. Let me just say, it did not disappoint. As a matter a fact, I've read the book twice already! It's that amazing! It will have you laughing, crying, smitten and frustrated throughout, all the elements of an awesome story. I'm warning you now, once you start it you won't want to stop. The story spans from childhood to adulthood in chronological order. We get to grow up with Mallory, Brent, and their classmates. Mallory is an amazing character. She's always been a little overweight which lead to her being bullied. Mostly by none other than Brent, who ends up being the star jock of the school. We watch their relationship grow from enemies to friends to much more. I loved the adversities they were faced with. It made it so very real, which is why I connected with the story so much. The secondary characters were amazing also. They really complemented the story nicely. This story hit home for me. In the early years, it brought me back to elementary & high school, but the later years really touched me. We see this happen every day in real life. I applaud the authors for writing such a real story. I think many will connect with the characters and the situations that they face throughout the book.If you are looking for a life, love, loss and second chance story, this is one you don't want to miss. Get ready for a roller coaster ride of emotions and experience life with Brent, Mallory, and their friends.

Must Read
Every book Rhonda Dennis writes draws you in and you can't put it down. This is the second time reading this book, just as good as the first time! Seriously all of the books by Rhonda are excellent. The first chapter pulls you in and you have to know what happens next!

I liked the idea
I liked seeing the characters from the beginning but would have liked maybe that be a novela and the book maybe longer have more detail and dual pov. In my mind if not discovered he may have crossed the line. So I feel more detail and maybe more growth during separation just to rushed.

Amazing!
I love all my friends books but this one has been moved to the top! Rhonda has been given a wonderful gift of being an author. I wasn’t sure what to expect from laughing out loud to being sad but my heart was soaring at the end! Well done my friend! I look forward to what is next!

A recommend...spoilers......
spoilers ----------------------------------------It was a good read. The couple has known each other since kindergarten. The H picked on the h constantly throughout their childhood spanning into high school. The h has always crushed on the H. We find out that the H also liked the h and they finally get together in their senior year in high school. The H was the super jock and the h was the insecure chubby girl. They get married.Problems crop up when they go to their 20th high school reunion. There were issues bubbling between the couple, but they do not come to fruition until the night of the reunion. I almost cried when the H brought his ex to their hotel room and the h is in the bathroom listening to their conversation. He admits to his ex while she is stripping that he does not know why he brought her to their room and tells her that he is not happy with his marriage when she pushes him on his marriage. The h cries listening to their exchange. The H and his ex find her huddled in the bathroom sobbing. She runs out and later tells the H she wants a divorce. People attending the reunion had asked her about a divorce and she was thrown for a loop. He takes an out of state coaching position without discussing it with the h. The H agrees to a separation. They share custody of their four children and he flies back and forth during the separation. The h gets a makeover during this time from her bestie and drops 25 pounds. The H looks great. Both appear happy until they reveal they miss each other. There is a very cute HEA. During the separation process they learn to listen to each other, make time for each other and be appreciative of what they have.I dinged the story because that there were no dual povs; was told in the first person (h). And, why did the H invite the ex to his hotel room on the night of the reunion? I was reading between the lines to believe that the ex listened to him whereas, the h did not. The couple did not address this incident. I hope that was the case and not any hanky panky.A 3.5 star recommendation.

Resolution
The story was good, but we got more of the back story than the present one. It would have been great to have his point of view as well.I’d like to know what was he thinking about having Whitney in his room, how could the h accept him so easily without a true answer and did he sleep around while they were separated?Seemed like the author was trying to wrap the story up without giving details.Probably wouldn’t recommend to friends.
