Great for bug collectors
I bought this for my husband (the granddad) and our grandkids. They love nature and can identify lots of different plants, animals, and birds. I bought a net on a pole as well, so they can catch insects and use the tool kit to mount them. Hopefully, they will also be able to formally identify the insects using a key. If kids learn simple things when they are young, they have a much easier time learning more complex things (like insect taxonomy) later.

Good
Bought this for bug taxidermy for the first time, getting my bug soon. I’ll update on if the kit is good in a week :)Update: tweezers are good, it’s definitely a helpful set. Pins are a bit weak and easily bend but I haven broken one yet.

Useful tools for beginner
I have no experiencing in insect pinning and wanted to try it. This kit had the essentials. The items were of good quality and got the job done. Only critique was that the pins were a bit flimsy and some would bend very easily. Could be solved by either being more mindful with use or investing in heavier, more sturdy pins! I would recommend as a starter kit before investing in anything expensive
