The 4th star is for the price. Product was delivered on time as promised. When I first plugged it in I was very disappointed. Then I remembered reading a review that said to make sure you let the laptop update everything from Microsoft and Lenovo.. I might not have done the Lenovo update if not for that review. It took a looong time to update so that is why it was so slow at first. Once the updates were done the speed increased significantly. I didn't expect a super fast laptop but neither did I expect a super slow one. Overall I'm satisfied with the product. I got what I paid for.

So Very Slow
This is the slowest new computer I've ever owned, so if you want a machine which responds to your commands right away, look elsewhere. Sometimes this one is perfectly fine, but too often it just freezes up. I won't buy another one.Also, the mouse pad is poorly designed. Instead of having two distinct buttons, it has a dividing line to separate right from left. This makes it too easy to click on the wrong side and have nothing happen.Pros: it's cheap, and the purple is cool.

Good entry level laptop but slow. Be prepared to add additional RAM memory to help improve speed.

Extremely slow. And after 20 years of owning new computers, some of the issues (dns error messages, connectivity) are more than I'd expect a beginner to handle. I read the one "slow" review and thought, "Well, I'm just using PowerPoint, Excel, and Word." Yeah, it's too slow for that.
