One of the best Prime figures in recent years
I was a huge fan of the Animated series growing up, so when I saw that Legacy was creating a version of Animated Prime, I was all in. Upon seeing the product pictures, I was a bit disappointed. The chest seemed huge and wide compared to his slimmer build in the show, and they decided not to give him his battle mask. Despite this, I ordered the figure anyways. I'm happy to say I was totally wrong about my doubts. The figure is amazing and it's a great restyling of the original design that keeps the most important elements of the original while updating it into the Legacy style. He is big (even for a voyager), bulky yet proportioned, and looks super stylish. The paint and colors pop just as you would expect from an Animated character. Articulation is terrific, able to pull off a large variety of poses. The included Battle Axe looks terrific as well, the blue translucent plastic on the blade is a great touch. The transformation is fun and has a good mix of simplicity and creative engineering. The truck mode is overall great, but like many other Prime figures recently, the truck bed has some kibble that looks out of place. It's not as bad as SS102, but it's still noticeable enough to where you'd think "what is that even supposed to be?". But I keep my figures in robot mode most of the time, and the robot mode is terrific. If the truck bed issue wasn't there, this would be a perfect figure. Despite that flaw, this is one of the best Primes recently released.

That's Just Prime
Unlike the Transformers Prime figures in the Legacy line, the Animated figures are all pretty stellar, with heavy stylization that harkens back to the original Derick J. Wyatt show they came from. There is a cavity in the chest where, despite it not being intended, you can fit an extra Matrix of Leadership, although I tend to give him the matrix on a chain from Galvatron. There are also a number of great third-party upgrade kits/decals for this set, to make him into a Star Convoy homage, or give him a Powermaster inspired upgrade from the scrapped fourth season.

A fun Animated Prime
Was a bit skeptical because of the stock photos looked a bit weird but he’s a really fun figure and very poseable, only downside is that my copy has loose legs, not too loose to where he’ll fall over but he can still hold up on poses. Not a 1:1 cartoon model like the 2007 figure but I’ll take articulation over accuracy.

The photo is misleading
The promotional photo is quite misleading. It implies Optimus can wield his axe with both hands, but when you look up close, the end of handle is just merely resting in his hand, not firmly held. It isn't impossible to hold axe with two hands, but not easy either due to the lack of butterfly joints. You may let him hold the axe overhead with two hands; in other poses it'd be extremely hard. That said, it's among the best accessories of recent mainline transformers. We keep getting very tiny weapons, weapon with absurdly short handle, weapon with long handle but only the very tip fitting into figure's hand, and "weapons" that don't look like anything. I guess we can't expect anything better than this axe I guess...

Great toy and figure
Toy has great molding, the details are wonderful. Transformation is a little finiky around the chest in bot mode. Poses well, and hands are held in with a ball joint thanks to part of the transformation meaning making spare hands with a 3d printer would be pretty easy.

Transform and roll out!
This is a great figure. Transformation is really fun and easy, articulation is great, comes with a really cool axe accessory, plastic quality is pretty good not what I was expecting but not bad. Knees are a little loose on my copy but the rest of the joints are as tight as you'd like. It is a stylization of the original Transformers Animated Optimus Prime so don't buy this for screen accuracy, but for a modern reimagining it really succeeds in that. I highly recommend this figure if you're a Transformers collector or just a fan of Optimus Prime.

Good, No knee problem but there's a paint scuff most likely just caused by Scissors when I was opening it. Needed it too for a Yt show I'm doing called Transformers Legacy Paradox. Cool axe too and luckily the siege gun fits in his hand! Now if only the upgrade kit wasn't sov expensive scratch is user error on my part.

Ist schon cool aber man sollte die Transformierung mehrfach üben bevor man die Anleitung gepflegt wegschmeißen kann ;)
