Great book!
I purchased this book to read to my son's preschool class recently. The theme was embracing diversity. It was a big hit among the 3-4 year old children and the teachers thought it was great. They loved the book. It has great illustrations and it rhymes. I highly recommend this book for that age group (and older). It shows that while we are all different in some ways (some ways are more apparent than others) that we all have value and we should respect each other and help each other. It doesn't talk down to anyone. I really enjoyed reading it to the children.

Excellent
Before I read this book to my class I lent it to a co- worker . My co - worker came back to to me and positively raved about the book and I understand why I enjoyed this book immensely because it covers a wide spectrum of disabilities. When I read the book on my own before reading it to my class I was delighted that I saw children who were physically disabled, mentally disabled and children of different races and ethnic origins! If you are a preschool teacher ths book is a must ave in your classroom it fulfills the requirements for ECERS ( early childhood environmental rating scale) and all round it is just a good book that promotes multi culturalism, equality, and tolerance in your classroom go out and get it!

Great book
I found this book in a local shop, unfortunately they only had one. Absolutely loved every bit of it. Immediately went on amazon and bought all of my grandchildren this book. Parents, this is what we need to teach our children - everyone is different, those differences are what make you special. Great book!!!

Fantastic author PK Hallinan
You can never go wrong with PK Hallinan books. So carefully and sensitively written to be inclusive of children of all backgrounds and appearances. Having a nephew with spin bifida, I am always on the lookout for books that make him feel like the other kids. Good values presented about caring and helping and being friendly. Darling illustrations. Check out Hallinan's other titles as well. Your children will ask to read these over and over.

A cute rhyming story
I loved this book! I ordered it with other books about various disabilities to read to children as a disability-awareness exercise. This book doesn't focus solely on disabilities, but it does show a child in a wheelchair, a child who (I think, but I'm not certain) is portrayed as autistic, a child with a service animal, etc. It does a wonderful job of being inclusive and showing that children who are different in these ways still enjoy companionship & activities like able-bodied children do.
