Great value for the money
Bought this as a Halloween costume prop but it plays beautifully. Now my daughter wants to learn to play the electric guitar. Sound is great. Beautifully crafted instrument.

lots of packaging
i bought this looking to begin playing guitar, it came in a guitar case, which was a little flimsy, and inside the guitar case was more the guitar, and more packaging, the accessories came in a medium sized ziplock bag, which had strings, guitar cords, and picks, the tape was pretty easy to install, and was very secure, but the downsides of the tape is that it makes your neck hurt, the guitar itself is a bit heavy, the strings are made out of great material, if you tune the guitar, it doesnt really change much, unless your changing the voulume. the performance of this guitar overall is very well, i would recommend buying this.

Not bad
As a backup hss strat, everything looks really cheap, but not bad at all. Got it from a deal. I believe it worth the money. Maybe not for beginner right out of the box. Needs a really good setup. When I open the box: no damage, neck aligning OK, does play sounds. The most part of my setup time is for dressing the fret, otherwise it's not playable... Second thing is to sand and polish and lubricate the fret board... Way too dry and scratchy. I don't want to put too much time on it so it's still a little dry now... Maybe next time when I change the string I will put a little more time on the fretboard. My one have a really nice and straight neck and the frets are evened very good except for the...22 fret. Have to trim and crown a lot on that only one... After 1.5 hr, it's playing well in at a great action. BTW the pickups are really hot to my taste. (sounds plastic anyway but I am ok with it).

Excellent Value Guitar!
This is an excellent value guitar! I purchased it with the idea to upgrade it, but the upgrades I needed to do were minor, as the fit and finish of the guitar was great - flawless even - to a standard of a much more expensive guitar. The guitar arrived today and I lightly sanded off the dorky headstock logo and the maple neck with 220 grit sandpaper, waxed the neck and headstock, replaced the plastic nut with a Strat-style bone nut, oiled the fretboard, slightly tweaked (loosened) the guitar neck tension rod as I always do, and set the action based on the height of the new bone nut. That's all that was required. The electronics are fine and as expected based on the pickups. All-in-all a great value for such an inexpensive guitar!

Cheap product and it arrived stained
I never write reviews but feel the need to speak to the disappointment of this product. This was a Christmas gift for my son and it arrived to my house looking like it has either been used or made very poorly. There is yellow stains all over the white part of the guitar and yellow staining on the cheaply made volume and tone dials. Very disappointed.

It is what it is, and maybe just a bit more?
First things first, I’m not a guitar guy and know very little about electric guitars. I have been looking to get one for a while and have been watching all of the YouTube reviews. Only, there weren’t any for this one, but it was the cheapest, so I got it.The good -Nice maple neckFrets are rounded, not sharp and no sproutThe finish is nice and it looks great3 ply pick guard5 way switch feels solid and firm, knobs seem goodThe bad -Tuners aren’t great. They haven’t slipped yet, as far as I can tell, but I’ve only had this 1 day. You turn and not much happens, then you can kind of feel the gearing move and a lot happens. They could be worse, I suppose. The included cable isn’t worth using. The gig bag isn’t padded. It’s not one of those “raincoats” or really thin dust jackets like some other guitars come with, but it is probably only a step or two above that. Was not intonated, but I wasn’t expecting it to be, not sure that any of these inexpensive guitars are.The really bad -It came shipped just in the product box. No outer box of any kind. It was in the gig bag in the box, but no other padding or protection at all. As a result, mine came with a nice big dent to the body, bad enough that the finish cracked and came off.Amazon only gives two options -1. Return it for a refund2. Exchange it for another.I didn’t want to wait another week or two to have a guitar, and I didn’t want to gamble on another getting shipped and showing up in even worse shape, so I’m keeping it, though the option for a bit of a customer satisfaction refund or credit would have been nice. Enough to cover a new set of strings or a cable or something. Oh well. All that to say, I really can’t complain for what it is. The humbucker is pretty hot, the neck pickup sounds nice. It was tunable and playable straight out of the box, which is all you can ask for, right?Anyway, aside from the lackadaisical care in shipping, my initial impressions are positive. Maybe I don’t know enough to really know if it is good, but I also can’t tell if it’s bad. It’s a guitar, and it works. And it was less than 80 bucks. The only thing that keeps me from a strong recommendation is how mine came. It could have been really damaged and I was lucky mine came with just the one wound. You may not be so fortunate.
