Quality product that works
If you're reading this, then you are probably suffering from physical ailments regarding muscle or ligament damage.I'm a 30+ year martial artist. I've been an instructor of such for 20+ of those years. I've seen every type of injury an athlete can get whether performing techniques incorrectly or merely from accidents. I too have suffered from many of these injuries and now, at 45 years of age, my body, like your body, feels these injuries as brick walls that can no longer be climbed. Simply put, old injuries are show stoppers. I have never seen a medical doctor about my physical injuries. I know... don't be like me. But if you are....Three years ago at 42, I started (learning) the recovery process. Lower back pain, elbow/knee joint pain, pain when stretching or finding neutral spine (-if you don't know neutral spine, this is why you're reading this now - google it ;-), are some of the things that used to be easy were becoming more difficult to warm up into. Even having to warm up 'in-to' what I call easy kicks, became mandatory.. My youth was gone. But luckily my road to recovery opened my mind to new things (we shouldn't need to suffer to find this path!!!) and I discovered these yoga balls and put them to use following the techniques I read about in health and recovery books from accomplished athletes whom also benefited from the use, plus with the direction of qualified health care practitioners. The information you really want to know...It's painful. Those walls we've incurred (tight hamstrings, cysts -in the ligaments from damage, scar tissue that's deep from pulls and tears -everyday work outs) end up de-motivating us all. Most of us just get to the point of understanding our physical abilities having spent all our attention on that. Recovery is rarely taught alongside the primary techniques for athletic prowess. Injuries are something I had been told to "shake off". Oh, how that makes me queasy to think about. Or, we do our work outs believing it WON'T HAPPEN TO ME. ... Oh, but it will....eventually.Your health is the most important part of your life. Don't submit to the quasi-standards of fitness and only learn the fitness part. We should all be just as competent in healing our wounds as we are at jumping spinning kicks. I'd like to think I take part in helping others to see the potential for harm and mostly the potential for mitigating that harm early in the careers of athletes. Getting to know your recovery options builds a better understanding of your body and how it really is supposed to work (move, lift, sit, etc.) I guarantee, you only think you know how your body works. What you really need to know...It works. I can't spend the time in a review to tell you how to use these. I did purchase a few books specific to the use of yoga balls on Amazon, you'll find them if you look, just read the reviews and choose a couple. If you cannot be persuaded to read up or discuss with your doctor the benefits of the correct use of ^yoga balls^ then try to imagine...How it works -layman termsThe damage (scar tissue) that is left over from lack of proper healing remains as long as you let it. These scars can pile up, some healing some not healing, most not healing more than 50%. After a decade of letting it slide, you find you can no longer touch your toes after getting out of bed (with neutral spine!).You need to massage it out.Blood flow is absolutely the most important part of getting rid of scar tissue. It's gotta go somewhere!Try to MELT your body on the ball where pain is. Healthy bodies don't feel pain from light pressure. Place the ball where you can 'rest' your damage parts on it. You must BREATHE (out) when relaxing on the ball. Deep in, then slow out and melt. Secondly, ROLL the ball(s) against the muscle grain like a pick running over guitar strings. You can follow the muscle grain to warm up to the pain, but ultimately you must "FLOSS" the damaged areas. The first time you may want to give up. How can you overcome so much pain from the ball rolling? Years of pain bundled up into a spot that you have to un-wind in a few minutes = necessary pain.I feel that, when proper technique is applied, the pain is halved each time you use the balls. I spend 30 minutes each night before bed, but it only took a week to get my basic level (for me) of flexibility back, plus, my overall strength, [measured by increased weights during lifting] improved by 25%. I was pressing ~100lbs regularly (for years) and after using the balls on my shoulders and pectorals, I am pressing closer to 130lbs. This was a major wall from a torn pec (wrestling) - smashed to pieces. -Also the main purpose for why I wrote this review.20/20 hindsight...I wish I had know about this 15 years ago. I know I'd be competing still. Actually, there is a chance this product will help me get back to that level...I turn 45 in two months.YOU CAN DO IT!

LOve This product
These balls are as light as a feather. I carry the smaller one in my purse for when the muscles in my back get so tight I can hardly walk. I put the ball up against the car seat or wall and move my back around it. It immediately loosens up those tight back muscles. It hurts but afterward, I'm always glad I used them. They are worth the money. I also got the long WAND that Amazon sells. It's also worth the money. I carry that in my car. Just the other day I pulled it out and showed it to a friend (she has back pain too). It's worth the money because no one should have to be in the kind of pain us back suffers are in. I always say, "If I had a cut someone could see they'd feel sorry for me. But back pain, no one can see the pain we all endure." It's all worth the money.

Helpful
I struggle with various trigger point Flair's up from time to time. Love having access to such a wide variety of tools to help get the circulation moving.

Love the massage balls
Can't go wrong with this set. So far they are strong and do the job. Haven't had them long enough to test the durability out. It took me awhile to find a complete set. And when I saw these @ such a great price, I was very happy to give them to my husband for a gift, that I borrow a lot.Next Christmas, everyone is getting a set of them!

Peanut massage ball broke!
I already own the spikey ball and the other balls are easily replaced by an old tennis ball. What isn't easy to replace is the peanut. It's great for rolling up and down your spine. Surprisingly little effort for substantial back relief.Unfortunately, after about 20 uses the peanut split. The glue bonding the layers together just gave out in the middle of the hour glass shape yielding 2 ....tennis ball size balls. Not valuable to me. And when I brought it up online, the distributor did not care. Hmmmm.

Not a medical grade set
Made out of a high density foam. Very light weight. Spiky ball is hard plastic/ rubber. Too small for back use.

I'll buy again
These are well made dense foam balls. The smallest ball really doesn't have too much application, it's too small to roll out on. The medium and large are great. I like the double ball roller for the spinalis muscle group. I actually purchased this to drill a hole in the 2" ball and glue it to a jigsaw blade to make a deep tissue massager and it is perfect.
