Excellent and easy setup & use !

I could not get it to work. Eventhough my ipad detected it, the wifi check said there was no signal but the ipad had 5 bars! The manufature was no help at all and gave up trying to help. How do I get a refund as I have had it for more than 30days?

On receiving this item I was surprised how large it is. As it didn’t fit in any of the existing openings at the top of the tank, I set about making a larger hole (tank empty) using a series of small drill holes. 6 drill bits later, the gauge was fitted. Pairing with the app was simple, following the instructions provided, and calibrating the measured depth was straight forward. I can now check my oil level from anywhere in the world using my phone, and can receive alerts when it’s getting low. This is especially useful as the property is a holiday let, and I live away most of the year.As the unit alerts low level, it is particularly useful for monitoring for theft or large leaks.Only one week in, but so far, I can highly recommend!

Not had this for long so can't comment on weather resistance especially below zero c, but initially some thing that may help people. Firstly it needs a big hole, it says 72mm but because where I mounted it I cannot get to the underside in the tank I used a 70mm hole which when you thread this into it gives a very tight fit. I will probably seal around it before the worst of winter hits. It is also worth noting the 10cm blind zone, so if you fit too close to the tank level you may get inaccurate readings when full. The cord is quite long but I needed much longer but a 2.1 mm extension worked fine. The device while Tuya does not actually work in home assistant by default, but you can add it to the localTuya service instead and then you can get the readings automatically. It does work fine by default in the smartLife app.

The product came with no really way to seal it to the container. There is a nut that can be tightened but no sealing rubbers at all.

Nice product that lasted about 3 months before total failure

Took me about 20 minutes to install. I used a step down voltage from 12v battery to 9v as I’m off grid. WiFi picked it up. I only turn it on when the water pump is also on and so it measures in the background even when I’m not looking. When I check the app it’s got the latest measurement. Works for me.

It has been working ok.Not very stable but gives a rough idea in an underground water tank and should be possible to use for turning a pump on/off.Good value when bought for the task.Stability improvement would be very useful.
