I was really worried that this would taste like mushrooms and although I do like them I'm not sure I'd want to taste them in this. i was pleasantly surprised when it smelt like chocolate but the taste is awful. It's very vinegary and was not easily washed away with a drink so I was grossed out. The bottle has 25 servings and costs £24.99 so essentially £1 a serving. This seems incredibly steep to me. I have used it a few times now and felt no effects so would not consider repurchasing.

Real effective pre-workout for me

Did a bit of research on this. Unlike mushroom powder its harder to judge the quality of tinctures. But this extract is produced by a small Scottish farm microbusiness lovemushrooms.co.uk who are very proud of the quality of their production. So, after the research I am not worried about the quality. The cordyceps tinctures is a dark extract in glycerine, different from the much lighter colour Reishi extract they produce which I have also tried and reviewed. You take a pipette, 2ml twice daily, with about 25 doses per 50ml bottle. Because mushroom extracts act gradually, I can't speak to the effect of the coreycops after only 7 days of taking it, but I am sure I will get the benefits of 4 grams of mushroom extract daily. This particular mushroom has been used for thousands of years in traditional medicine for its effects.

Tastes like dirt and doesn’t work

I've been using the Love Mushrooms Cordyceps Mushroom Extract Liquid and have found it to be a unique supplement. Easy to take in with my Protein Shake and the taste is fine by itself, and doesn't affect the taste of my protein shake. I can't say I've noticed any difference in energy since taking so can't comment on that as yet. But who knows. Will wait and see, but I like the idea of taking a natural supplement.

I got this to try to reduce fatigue from CFS, but also because of a study that indicated an improvement in lactate threshold (I have too much lactate, which causes muscular pain and stamina issues). It's difficult to review supplements, because the effects may be subtle or take weeks/months to become noticable. As such, I haven't noticed any difference with muscular pain or stamina thus far, but it's early days so I wouldn't expect to. I do perhaps feel slightly more awake? I haven't noticed any negative effects. Something to be aware of is that this Cordyceps extract is very potent, containing a whopping 50,000mg per 50ml bottle. The flavour is very similar to Love Mushroom's excellent Lion's Mane extract - which is to say, it's an aquired taste! It's quite sweet, but also earthy, with a lot of sweet mushroomy'ness. And it lingers! I do like mushrooms, but I can't hold this stuff under my tongue without gagging! So instead I've been mixing it with a little milk and chugging it - much better! I like the packaging, which was minimal enough to allow it to be posted through the letterbox. It looks and feels like a premium product, and I like the colour scheme too (with a different colour for each type of mushroom). And as a Scot, I like that it's made in Scotland :) I'll try to update the review again after some time, especially with regards to effects.
