Genuine Briggs and Stratton 272475S Rocker Cover Gasket Replaces 692285/272475

The gaskets are a perfect fit for the Briggs and Stratton 26hp on my John Deere la175. But upon doing a little research. I went with red gasket maker instead. These motors are coming out of the factory with liquid type gasket maker instead of paper. I will be monitoring for leaks, but so far I've mowed for several hours and all is well with the gasket maker instead of paper.

This gasket worked perfectly for my craftsman mower. I adjusted the valve clearance and changed the gasket just to be sure I wouldn't have any leaks. This gasket is the same quality as the old one I removed. The old one was still in great shape and I probably could have reused it. I had the new one anyway so I replaced the old one and I have no leaks. The old one was still in good shape after 10 years, so I would assume this gasket will last for a long time.

Made in USA and works well. Gasket is thicker and seals better than the cheaper made in China brands that I tried before. Highly recommended. Conforms to valve cover very well and doesn't leak or seep oil like the made in China gaskets.
