Vileda Doble Indoor Table Dryer, White

I was looking for an airer for our family which can take up to 2 loads of washing, is flexible in size but sturdy at the same time. We have been using this now for a month and are delighted about the functionality and manoeuvrability at the same time. great product at a great price !

I like this product because it is well-made, easy to extend and holds large items of laundry. I am delighted with it and would highly recommend this product.

I absolutely love this drying rack! It’s super spacious – I can fit a huge load of laundry in one go, whether it’s clothes for the whole family or just a couple of folded items. It’s a large clothes airer . For the price , I expected it to be sturdier, nevertheless it’s a good product and I would recommend it .

I bought this item as I needed a spacious airer to dry linens, clothes, etc. I live in a small 2 bedroom flat, one of which is a single room; I use the airer in the single bedroom from which I removed the bed. The airer is vert robust. When open, it can accomodate the weekly laundry of max two individuals. Linens and bed sheets can be dried easily. When folded, the airer can be stored vertically behind a bedroom door or in a storage cabinet. It is not heavy, and it is easy to manage.

I tend to buy multiple types of things if I feel like one can be improved on or I'm not happy with one type and as such this is my fourth airer. My previous airers which I still own and use are, a Leifheit Pegasus 180 (bought 7 years ago), Dry:Soon Standard 3-Tier Heated Tower Airer, a discontinued Lakeland airer similar in design to the Vileda Doble (but holds roughly 1/4 the amount) and the Vileda Doble. Each airer has it's own pros and cons. Pros for the Doble. Adjustable - If I only have a small number of laundry to hang up, I don't need to extend it fully. With the leifheit, if I only need the middle section, I would need to setup the two side arm out or have it on top of the middle section after I hung up the clothes which for me would affect the drying time. The wires are thicker but not majorly so than the Leifheit (6.2mm vs 4.1mm), so when hanging over a single wire, the clothes have a bit of spacing in between so more air can circulate through and more of the fabric is exposed rather than touching each other (however not as thick as the Dry:Soon which is 13mm). Wires are aligned in the same direction. Makes hanging up easier and as I use an electric dehumidifier in conjunction to speed up drying, it also allows the airflow to flow freely without obstruction (the Leifheit wires on the side sections are perpendicular). This for me and adjustability were my biggest deciding factors. Setup - This and the discontinued airer have the quickest setup time - from collapsed state to working state. Cons: Price: I've been monitoring this airer for a while now, and it's only dropped once by a few pounds, before returning to it's current £43, which for me is quite pricy. However this is mainly because of it's other more considerable con. It's durability. Durability: I didn't notice this upon recieving the item, but I spotted a dent in one side of the leg, and shortly after another dent on the opposite side. It's bent the leg off by a slight degree, nothing significant enough to effect stability but to have received an item with dents (from an undamaged packaging) I question it's durability. My Leifheit airer which I've had for 7 years has not a single blemish. Wheels: Kinda gimmicky. Don't feel like they offer much. Sock holder: Welcome, but why only 10 slots. Maybe the Leifheit's offering of quadruple that has spoilt me. Theirs are also more secure for holding thinner clothing. I've attached theirs onto the Doble and it seems to work fine. Quite long: When it was delivered, it came in quite a long box 140cm at a guess which surprised me. So if storing away be aware of it's dimensions.

Really sturdy product. Great for drying 2 full load of washing. Needs lots of room to fully fold out though.
