Teenage Mutant Ninja Turtles: Shredders Revenge - Anniversary Edition (Switch)

If you're after an arcade game for switch, whether for single player or co-op this is THE game to get.There's so much fun to had smashing through levels, levelling up your favourite characters, and if played with an arcade stick is the most enjoyable experience and feels like you're right back in the 80's/90's popping in your credits.Complete value for money without a doubt.

If you loved old school scrolling beat-em-ups then this is a no-brainer purchase on any platform. That it is also a gorgeous use of the 80s Turtles cartoon licence is just an added bonus on top of it. Bringing back much of the original (surviving) voice cast is a dedicated move too, although it must be said those teenage heroes do now sound like they ought to be collecting their pensions. Kind of adds to the cheeky fun of it all though!Great action, plenty of humour, a whole legion of familiar characters for Turtles fans of all ages, and a generous difficulty scaling so even newbies won't be held back.The soundtrack is a particular highlight. Tee Lopez's ability to recreate the vibe and ambience of the early 90s was already well demonstrated on the equally excellent Sonic Mania game a few years back. Here he does it again with a feel that catapults right you back to 1992. For a GenXer like myself, it's nostalgia magic.My main reservation would be price. It is an Indie game and quite short too for anyone not determined to 100% all the challenges. I'd not pay much over £25 for it at this point. The PC version is currently available for about £20 (xmas '23) so take that into account when buying for the consoles.

Really good story, great, solid designs. Many characters to choose from. Perfect for those who adore the TMNT series.

Bought this for my son who loves the turtles and g he loved it great fun and even got me to play it was really fun

Amazing game, I loved playing the super nes one with my brother as a kid, so it was great being able to share that experience again with him and my nephews now! It's a lot of fun, especially with 4 players on the same screen ! I would definitely recommend it! The games itself doesn't take very long to finish, but you can play if a few times with friends before you get bored.

Great game for a family to play together. Bit of retro fun for Dad and/or Mum and lots of fun action for the kids. Its button bashing madness when 4 are playing together.
