I like this Humidifier for a number of reasons:a) Good selection of vapor volume.b) Easy to fill and clean with top loading access to the water reservoirc) Quiet when running at nightd) Multiple color choices if you want to use the nightlight capability (or turn the nightlite off if not needed).The weight of the unit is significantly less than prior Crane teardrop vaporizers but it doesn't seem to affect the quality of the unit.

At first I thought this was a great humidifier. There's 3 settings with the middle setting being perfect for my plants. There's an option for the base to be different colors which is nice at night. It also has a noise machine option with 3 different noises. I find the noises to sound a little strange but I didn't buy it for this function so it doesn't bother me. Keeping it on the medium setting I would refill the water and every 24 hours but I also didn't fill it to the brim. About every 10 days I would do a thorough cleaning with vinegar. My plants were loving it and I was loving but. Then right after a month it stopped working. I was carrying it back from the sink and somehow water started pouring out from the bottom. I'm not sure what happened since I didn't tip the device. I let it dry out for 2 days but the damage was done. When I'd turn it on it was blink giving me some sort of error message. Luckily Amazon sent me a replacement which so far hasn't had any issues. At this point I do recommend but will update my review if I have additional issues.

I liked my old one, it was also Crane, but I'm so glad I got this newer one because in the ten years or so they have improved the design - it's easier to fill up and easier to clean. Those were the two things that prevented me from using the thing when we need it, and it does help so much at night when you have a cold. I used to wake up coughing every night so I really feel the difference when I put this on. I wish you didn't have to buy special tray for aroma, there must be a way to use aromatherapy in it without buying their silly extra product

This is the fourth ultrasonic humidifier I've owned and the first that seems like it was designed to be easy to clean. I've dealt with crud-attracting crannies in bases, mist tubes that are too long and narrow for any cleaning instrument, black color that hides mold, tanks you can't reach inside, and pesky long trailing cords that make carrying the base into the kitchen or bathroom a pain, and I've wondered WHY nobody makes these things with detachable cords. FINALLY! A detachable cord, a cleanable tank, and a cranny-free base! And the quietest one I've had yet -- it's absolutely silent unless you turn on the sound.Only reason this gets 4 stars and not 5 is some relatively minor annoyances. The controls are hard to see, especially in dim light; I'd like either more contrast or a control panel that can light up. And a humidistat would be a real plus.

This works a full day before you need to add more 💧, if on low/medium.It's a good value for the money but I don't know if I'd buy the same one or another option. So far, so good.
