The media could not be loaded. I’ve been using this harness everyday for over a month now. My dog hasn’t slipped out of it at all. He used to escape my old harness as well as his collar all the time. It was so bad I stopped walking him on the street until this one arrived. This one has been escape proof! The fit is great. Dog is about 55 pounds and I got the medium. If he out grows it I’ll replace with the same harness in larger size. I have full control over him. It doesn’t put any pressure on his neck when he pulls or when I have to pull him. The large handle on the back is so handy. I can pick him up and put him on his feet when he becomes stubborn. I also use it to put him in the car. He can’t reach the straps to chew through them (that was the fate of our first harness!). Great harness. Very sturdy! Very pleased.

***Update after using for 2 months. I used this harness every day for 2 walks a day (very reasonable for the average dog owner). I bought this because it was advertised as "escape proof" and as I wrote in my initial review, the strap and ring placement made for easy handling. However, on our walk this weekend, one of the chest strap rings broke, allowing the strap to pull through the triangle on the chest--and allowing my dog to back out of the harness. I contacted the company and was offered a 30% refund because they don't warranty the product beyond 30 days. I will certainly accept the 30% refund, but I absolutely won't be using it to order another of the same harness. I can't use a harness that won't last more than 2 months and if they can't stand behind their product for longer than that, I'll have to try a different company. It's really unfortunate, as the fit and style of this harness as well as the placement of the back ring worked really well for my dog. I loved using it with him, but I can't risk another ring failure allowing him to escape. That's why I purchased a harness advertised to be "escape proof."***I have a houdini pittie mix that has escaped every harness we have ever tried. Some rubbed his armpits raw, others couldn't accommodate his big pittie chest girth comfortably. We have tried front rings, side rings, back rings, collars, the whole 9 yards. This vest fits him snuggly without being too tight. The chest strap sits far enough back that his armpits are safe, the belly strap provides extra escape-proofing, and the t-strap up front seems to be comfortable for him. The construction appears to be sturdy so far, and the ring placement seems to be exactly right for providing good control and guidance while we walk. To be honest, no harness is going to turn a determined puller into a docile show dog. But this harness makes my hell-bent squirrel chaser easier to work with, and I have confidence that he can't weasel out or tear through the stitching. After 5 years of work, that's as close to a miracle as I'm going to get and that means I love this harness.

This is absolutely the best for a strong dog who is an escape artist! It is easy to put on and it attaches to a leash from the top of the dog's back. This is great for a dog on a lead who likes to lunge after what he thinks is prey, like deer and coyotes. It won't choke the dog, so it is safe from neck injury for the dog.It is super sturdy and very well made. This harness is an answer to prayer!

My dog is 90lbs, reactive to other dogs, and a true escape artist when it comes to harnesses. We tried and tried to find a harness he couldn't wiggle out of, even several other purportedly "escape proof" solutions. This is the one that finally worked. That third strap did the trick. It was hilarious the first time he put it on to watch the confusion on his face as he realized his old tricks would not work anymore!Pros: The straps lay nicely, seem to be comfortable. A little finicky to fine tune the strap length the first time, but not too bad. Easy to immediately tell front vs back because of the back loop! Love the back loop for clipping extra stuff to if needed, acting as an anchor point to hang the harness on a wall, or to act as a secondary handle to get control over the direction of the dogs hindquarters. Easy to throw in the wash. Overall harness design is extremely secure! The buckles and seaming are very sturdy (he pulls too). We have been using this harness for 2.5 years of heavy duty use and it is just starting to show minor wear on the edge seam of the blue panel.Cons: A few weeks after we got this, the triangular pieces of hardware on the front chest (where the straps make a Y) broke when our boy sprinted 50ft toward a squirrel and didn't remember he was on a (50-ft) tether. We replaced that piece with a heavy-duty carabiner from the hardware store and have continued to use the harness for 2.5 years.Gets hot in the summer because of the big blue panel. I wish the top had better vents in the blue mesh, but there is no denying that the blue fabric is extremely tough & strong, and has properly distributed plenty of sudden jolts into harness straps.Will be purchasing again as our go-to harness. Maybe we will explore lighter models forspecific use-cases, i.e. summer runs.

I have a dog that tends to be an escape artist. This fits great and she is unable to wiggle her way out. The straps were easy to adjust. This is built with durability. I would purchase again.

My 90-100 lb Labrador/Great Dane puppy can't slip her smooth lil behind out of this. She's a super escape artist, so I am very impressed with this harness. I like that the straps are properly padded so she doesn't hurt herself when she pulls and tries to back out of the harness. She also gave up on escaping, pulls far less and I've been able to start training her to walk beside me in earnest. The material and clips are sturdy and work well. The pink color is very cute. The reflectiveness is not really all that noticible.
