Samsonite Spark SNG - Upright S Expandable Toppocket Hand Luggage, 55 cm, 57 Litre, Blue

This is an excellent bag. It is exactly as described on the website. I took it on 3 transatlantic journeys to test it out before writing this review. It is light weight, strong, good looking, well designed and multifunctional. First, it has a clean and streamlined look and the colour is distinctive enough for you to be able to pick it out quickly from the crowd of other bags at baggage pick up at arrivals.It is expandable whcih is a very useful feature. If you accumulate extra items on your trips, you can still fit them in to this suitcase. There are two rows of circular zips running around the outside of the bag, and one row is concealed inside the other. When you unzip the second row, an expanded section is released and this adds several more litres of space to the bag. There are two zipped pockets inside the bag, a large net envelope inside the lid, with retaining straps, and a small inside side pocket in the main compartment. The main compartment also has retaining straps. There are two very useful outside pockets on the bag, a long and a shorter pocket.The bag has a nice additional security feature, a slim steel cord which can pass through the dedicated holes in the zipper pulls to lock the two outside pockets. It hooks up wth the main combination lock on the bag. When not in use the cord is almost invisible and fits into a little compartment. The main compartment locks through the zippers.The lock is TSA approved.There is a side handle and a top handle. Both are well designed, secure and comfortable even when the bag is jammed full. The main extending handle is strong, light and has several length positions. It operates smoothly..I also bought the bag because the wheel design was what I was looking for. I wanted a two wheel upright bag with robust wheels instead of a spinner bag. I have had a wheel on another bag fail during a journey before and it is no fun. The wheels on this Samsonite are well made and are approxmately 7 to 8 cm in diameter and are partially concealed in a strong wheel housing. There are two strong angled rests on the bottom of the bag opposite the wheels, so it sits upright. If the bag is really jam packed, with all the front pockets and the expanding pocket stuffed full, it can fall over from the upright position. However, jam packed and stuffed people also fall over, but more easily than this bag.The bag has a water and stain resistant finish. Someone spilled a little coffee on the ouside of my bag. It sponged off easily and completely with a little water and mild suds, even after the spot had been left for 2 weeks.The bag was sold to me by Marken Koffer. The delivery was fast and arrived on time in secure packaging. Finally, avoid Brexit, do all you can to prevent it. It is bad news for travellers, business people, and international relations generally. Thanks for reading.

Absolutely thrilled with Spark SNG 56/20 large cabin case. It is very lightweight, the wheels navigate very smoothly with excellent control on uneven pavements and shiny floors alike. The very simple illustrated TSA Lock Instructions leaflet was in a pouch with the Warranty Certificate and a sheet of address stickers. The capacity is huge 62.5 L - for me it’s ideal for trips longer than a weekend and the space is super well-organised. The mesh cover is sturdier than most and the buckle ends of the packing straps can be fixed on the sides of the case while packing. Love the 2 front pockets one of which is a small top front section that I find is essential for the items that need to have easy and quick access - the zips are all connected by a wire that slots into the tsa combination lock area. Having a high security case is a priority for me since I saw someone try to run off with my case at LHR T5. Highly recommended.

When I purchased this I was fairly sceptical as to whether or not I could actually get this to pass as hand-luggage on air-lines. Well the good news is that you can! With the exception of KLM / Air France (at time of writing) I've found the majority of airlines will take this on as hand-luggage as it fits nicely within the limits. It is deceivingly large but that only works to your advantage!Spacious and can easily let you take a few weeks worth of clothes, or a small formal wardrobe for business-catered trips it's surprisingly flexible. Having the extra SmartTop pocket on top came in useful for smaller doodads (e.g. prescription sunglasses) that I otherwise wanted to have easy access to without having to dig through the more front-pocket or actually open the case up.Alongside the above, it's actually possible to expand the case beyond its initial limits to make it 'fat'. At this point it tends to remain within most flight-companies limits - but do be careful. Overstuffing it (as with most bags) can push it over the limit so as ever, be mindful of how you pack!The security-wire is an interesting touch and works well enough. It saves having to carry padlocks though I do question that if someone were to be carrying the appropriate tools, how long it would keep them out. Beyond that it works I suppose as a deterrence and keeps sticky-fingers out.For a Samsonite at the time of purchase it was a respectable price (£114) and the quality is as you would expect from Samsonite as well. As my travel companion for over 8 months now, I'm more than happy with purchase!

Fantastic little piece of luggage. loads of space, and the top pocket is genius. If I have a very small niggle, it's with the unnecessarily complex closing and expansion zips. Colour coding would have helped. The locking system might be a bit Marmite for some also.

I needed a new carry-on bag for my BA flight to Cape Town & this fits the bill perfectly. The 5 months interest free payments was a nice bonus!Having read the reviews of customers being unable to unlock their new case, I kept a lookout for the Amazon van. I asked the young driver to wait while I opened the box & made sure that the bag would unlock. It was already set on 000 & I pressed the button & hey presto, it unlocked. The driver kindly took the empty box. The instructions for setting the combination are inside the bag.The bag is perfect for my needs with lots of room & is very sturdy. It looks very smart in blue.

Excellent product. I have had a number of similar Samsonite case for the last 20 years. They are robust and take the battering of air travel very well. 4-wheels are a must and make transit much easier. We have 2 children so I’m usually pushing all 4 cases plus 2 carry on cases myself while my wife heards the children. The 4 wheels make this possible.Plenty of pockets and neat compartments for storage of different items. Comfortable handle with easy, smooth mechanism. Lockable zip with TSA key for USA.

Un brand che non delude.Storica ditta produttrice di valigie che continua a realizzare ottimi prodotti a prezzi ragionevoli.Nello specifico, uso la valigia ormai da diversi mesi e non ho trovato alcun difetto: robusta, comoda e leggera.Utilissime anche le varie tasche interne ed esterne; inoltre, il peso non eccessivo consente di riempirla senza doversi preoccupare di qualche grammo in eccesso: acquisto consigliato.Le misure, infine, sono conformi agli attuali standard di RyanAir per i bagagli a mano…il che consente di imbarcare il trolley tranquillamente con sé in aereo anche quando si viaggia low cost.

I just don't give it 5 starts because the extension zipper is weirdly positioned, so we are often making mistake which zipper to close.

Premetto che sono stato frequent flyer per una vita e quindi posso dire che sono un discreto esperto di bagagli a mano. Di questa valigia colpisce subito la leggerezza e la maneggevolezza. L'organizzazione interna è molto funzionale (come di solito per Samsonite) e con questo bagaglio si possono tranquillamente fare 3-4 giorni fuori (una settimana se si viaggia per piacere o rinunciando agli "abiti civili"). Piegato ad arte, ci sta comodamente anche un abito da uomo che arriverà a destinazione in perfetta forma. Pagato circa 110 euro (perché ho preso il blu... Che tra l'altro è molto bello) penso che sia stato un ottimo acquisto. Sulla robustezza casomai aggiornerò in seguito però per ora mi sembra in linea con gli standard Samsonite.

Der Koffer ist nicht stylisch oder irgendwie auffällig, sondern einfach nur ein qualitativ guter Samsonite.Für einen Koffer dieser Größe geht nicht nur viel hinein, sondern es lässt sich auch gut verteilen und fixieren. Im Gegensatz zu anderen Rezensenten finde ich auch die Dehnfalte sinnvoll konstruiert, die 2 Reisverschlüsse und deren Funktion sind Gewöhnungssache und stören die praktische Nutzung m.E. überhaupt nicht.Ich habe ihn noch nicht lange, aber er scheint für ein langes Leben gemacht. Griff und Rollen inclusive, die eine Balance aus wenig Gewicht und Stabilität bieten.Ich freue mich auf die nächste Flugreise- als Handgepäck im Flugzeug kann dann mein Gepäck nur noch durch mich verschlampt werden.
