Midi ewi dco 6 electronic wind instrument
This is a delightful instrument. Well made and simple to use. Instructions could be better but with a little experimenting I soon got the hang of it. Don’t listen to reviews of cheaper instruments they are earlier models with fewer features. This one works alone with 10 built in sounds or over Bluetooth with any software instrument you choose, or wired to a usb connection in your computer again with any software instrument you choose. The supplied usb lead was loose but I had another one handy, which is fine. The instructions could do with being less terse and more detailed but they are only a QuickStart. Maybe a better manual can be downloaded. That might be more useful as you gain experience. For the price, you get more than the money’s worth. I will try it as a midi controller soon, but for now I’m having lots of fun in its standalone mode. The menu is simple once you’re used to it. Worth some time spent exploring that. Enjoy!

Slim ewi
Just finished trying this mini ewi out to see how it operates,a little bit sad to see that just a sheet of information provided, while it does contain most of what you need to know it is not a good look also the print is tiny so you really have to squint to read it.The ewi is made from a smooth bamboo and really feels nice, but the body is very light a little like a large flute the keys seem very responsive and work well. The sounds included are not to bad the sax sounds, clarinet ,trumpet are okay and the flute ,harmonica not to good anyway good enough to practice with.Connecting to pc and music software usb cable provided was not a good tight enough fit to instrument for pc to recognise wind instrument so I had to use my own cable to connect to pc and music studio. Was able to play sax instrument no thumb hook on back of ewi just a shallow indention for thumb to rest on so it can be tricky to hold and operate keys and octave buttons. Also just noted the area between low and high octave buttons is touch sensitive and allows a mid point between high and low octave . Led readout was very good and the controls and operation I like. But comparing to Rolands compact ae05 sax wind instrument which is heavier and more serious music tool and more like a sax, but this Oyayo is good for starter into wind instruments or a practice instrument you can carry anywhere it is very slim and light not sure how tough it is carried around in hand or bag. Oyayo need to improve documentation and usb cable to ensure good value.Have contacted Oyayo on my experience with there ewi and they have noted my concern on instructions provided and cable. Connected to Magixstudio and software sax saxophonia vst this gave a good sax like sound through my system.Overall good very compact music tool.Further update this item for sale at a more competitive price you can find it at even cheaper price. This wind inst proving to be a very compact music tool very portable feels more like a flute but has good sax and trumpet voices and via usb to pc operates with all sofware instruments.

Lightweight and easy to play. Also the sound is lovely..
Lovely sound and easy to use. Very lightweight, so I am able to play it. Idea to teach younger aspiring musicians to learn fingering and breath control. I am currently teaching my 9 year old granddaughter, whom is making great progress. So will be moving her onto a saxophone within the next few months.

Great Fun!
This thing is a delight for a multi-instrumentalist like myself! There are many different sounds, none of them particularly accurate to what they are supposed to sound like (though I like the clarinet one A Lot!) but that doesn't matter, these sounds are good by themselves! I have yet to hook it up for use with MIDI, but three different levels of sensitivity should be plenty to get some useful results. I will update my review with anything that needs to be known about. I'm looking forward to many adventures with favourite new instrument!

Ok, but not a serious musical instrument
My initial impression was good until I started to play it. The fingering is eccentric to say the least. I’m a lifelong musician and know how flute fingering works, but the sounds produced by this are random. Sometimes you do get a full scale and sometimes all the finger holes produce the same pitch, or a note might suddenly jump up an octave etc. If you only want it for fun though it’s ok. Surprisingly the 10 tone variations are quite good and all the effects work properly. The instructions explain how to save your settings using the ‘save’ button - there isn’t one. I’m still enjoying using it as an amusing pastime though.
