Great speedy, budget laptop! S-mode can be turned off easily
I'm leaving this review mainly just because others have voiced complaints about this laptop being delivered in "S-mode," which prevents users from installing apps that aren't pre-verified by Microsoft. While this would in my opinion indeed be terrible if users were stuck in S-mode, this is not the case at all. IT IS EXTREMELY EASY TO REMOVE S-MODE, and you can find instructions easily by Googling: "Switching out of S mode in Windows"Finally, the laptop itself is fast with its SSD and competent processor. The screen is sharp. It's fairly lightweight. Really, my only complaint is the size of the SSD, but how much storage can one realistically expect for a laptop this affordable?If you're not doing intense gaming or video editing (and maybe even if you are...not sure), then I think this laptop will handle what you need it to do.Very satisfied!

Great value. Easy to use and set up.
It has been a while since my last laptop purchase and this HP easily walked me through the steps to sync all my devices and transfer all my photos and documents. Love everything about it. Definitely a great purchase.

For it price it's a good pc, still getting used to it. Used an iPad for many years, so I often find myself touching the screen lol.

Very Disappointed
The laptop arrived promptly, but locked up in the startup process. I called HP and after 2 hours, the tech team determined that the laptop had a faulty battery and needed to be replaced. Instead of simply replacing the brand new product, I was told to package up the brand new laptop and ship it to HP (at my expense). HP would then assess the repair needed and would proceed with a warranty repair or replacement. I was told that this may take several weeks. Needless to say, I was not happy and decided to return the brand new product to Amazon. What a waste of time and money.

Laptop
The laptop works great. BUT I tried to install my cricut soft ware, could nit do it. After the 3rd person tried and failed, I took it to the computer store. This computer is set up to ONLY ALLOW Microsoft software. It took the tech about 20 minutes to disable the Microsoft block. I bought this laptop to use not to be help hostage by Microsoft.

not a fancy user - plain use
it was easy to set up and get started. it transferred all my pics/documents from my dead laptop. So i didn't lose any work. I mainly use it for e mail, zoom and fb. So i don't do any photo editing or even many documents. So for me it is just fine -
