Happiness: God's Invitation to Delight, Celebration, and Joy Bible Study Book Paperback – January 5, 2016

Who would you rather hang out with? A happy, jolly, joyful person or a curmudgeon? I would pick the Happy guy every time. When you learn that our Heavenly Father is that guy, makes you want to get to know Him better. Randy Alcorn has written a great study along with the DVDs for all. Our small group rented and downloaded the DVDs and it worked perfect for us.

This book was advertised as NEW, so I purchased it to give as a gift. The book that I received is NOT new. There are used price stickers on the back, the edge of the binding is scratched up, and there is a deep fold/crease in the bottom right of the front cover. I CANNOT give this to anyone as a gift in this condition. The advertising is false - this is not a new book, nor is it in like new condition - it is a used/damaged book, plain and simple. I am very disappointed, and as such I will not be paying for this book.

Didn’t make it past chapter three. The author doesn’t seem very happy and appears to be arguing with someone/trying too hard to prove basic points. For instance, he spends time debating whether joy and happiness are the same thing—should be simple etymology, but he instead makes a huge argument about it and quotes lots of people throughout history to try to prove that modern definitions are wrong.
