These are much firmer dolmas with good quantity filling. They're just a bit too firm for my liking. But the spices are somewhat not what I was expecting for dolmas, compared to what I've tasted before. They lack the freshness with the earthy-like spices. Also, some leaves had spots on them, like not good quality vine leaves. I was hesitant to eat them.I'm still looking for better dolmas. I've tried a few brands now but nothing seem to come close to the ones from Trader Joe's which I love both for the taste and texture, balanced filling, seasoning and acidity.

These Sarma take me back to my childhood; the flavor is just like my Macedonian Baba's. Since these were listed as "Egyptian" there must be a connection between Egypt and Macedonia... First time I have tasted Sarma (Dolmades, Dolma) that tasted like my childhood! Delicious! High quality, reliably great, these might be exactly what you are looking for!
