Made my life easier
This worked great and made my DIY paint job a lot easier and a lot less messy or wasteful. Fit perfectly in the bucket.

Is it worth the effort?
There is a slot for an O-ring on the above lid section of the pour spout. However, no O-ring was included with the pour spout. Review the photos for the pour spout listing. There is no photo showing the inside base of the pour spout. It would also have been nice if the size of the hole necessary to install the pour spout had been included with the pour spout. As received the pour spout will most likely leak when installed. If you want this unit it will be necessary to track down a proper sized O-ring and determine the size of the hole to be drilled to fir the pour spout. For the money involved the pour spout is not worth the effort of creating a return .Would not recommend this product.

Mine popped off.
I could not get it to stay on the can. I tried multiple ways and it just would not stay in place unless I held it while pouring. It would have been perfect because it does save mess...when it didnt pop off. Maybe I got a defective one.

Great tape!
I love this spout! It fits so many different paint buckets. I had ordered several spouts that claimed to fit my 5 gallon paint bucket, but none of them did. I saw a YouTube review of this one, gave it a try, and it worked for me!

Perfect for pouring from those giant 5 gallons bucket into smaller containers.
Perfect for 5 gallons PVA primer!! It helped me pouring some in a cutting pot with no mess and the cap kept the primer wet for 2 weeks straight then when the job was done I put the stock cap back on, rinsed this one and done. When you clean this cap, remove and clean the o-ring too, otherwise it is going to leak next time.

So little info out there about spouts
Ok let me explain this product like I wish someone did before I bought this. Buckets aren’t rocket science but I’ve used a lot of 5 gallon containers and been surprised at the minor variations of lids and construction. I was looking for info on the little holes that are sometimes present in the lid, which I assumed a product like this would fit but I had a hard time finding out if there was any kind of standard or if I had to drill a hole myself (I didn’t). It helps to know that an unthreaded hole in the lid is typically called a tint port/plug. There are some that are threaded but most are not and the bung just pushes in as a friction fit. I had a lid with this type of press-fit plug already. This spout has two removable pieces on the bottom supporting two different thread sizes. The main spout has an o-ring so if you remove both threaded ring adapters you can snap the spout directly into the unthreaded tint port in the lid. There was one lone YouTube video that helped me out by Tech Otto that explained this for a similar looking product. This spout is made of pretty solid plastic and the parts fit together well. The lid has a tapered friction fit that looks like it’s going to be pretty airtight which is not obvious from the picture in this listing. I took a gamble and it worked out. Hope this review helps those of you that just want something to pour from a simple freaking bucket already! The pictures for these suck and there aren’t good explanations of how they are supposed to work.
