Worth the money!
This thing has enough weight to keep itself sunk and produces bubbles over the entire disc area.If you dial down the air to a bare minimum you get EXTREMELY fine bubbles which do not cause a splashy mess on the surface. They probably also get oxygen into the water much better than larger bubbles due to the increased surface area.It is only the stone, doesn't come with a pump, adjustor valve tubing or anything. It is expensive but id take this over a cheap air stone any day of the week.

Micro bubbles! Works great!
This item works just as advertise. The really fine bubbles make the tank look nicer and allows a fish to breathe better. It’s does not cause too much disruption in the tank. Very quite. I highly recommend.

Small & MIghty; Perfect for emergency O2
The media could not be loaded. I needed a heavy sponge that will sit on the bottom of a container when I need to pull plants out for selling them. When I would float them for a day or two without air, they will tend to rot on me. So this was the perfect solution for that!. It sits in the bottom of my 5-gallon bucket and puts out a ridiculous amount of air for my plants to stay healthy. This will also end up being used for rescue air when dialing in CO2 on newly planted aquariums.Lastly, I mix and hold RO Water for days. Right now I have a smaller air stone in my 32 gallon holding tank and a couple wave makers to circulate the water. I am going to go back and buy the 4" one of these to place in that 32gallon holding tank.

Purchased for axolotl tank, works well!
So I purchased this as a first time axolotl owner, I have no other bubbler to compare it to.However, I believe it does its job very well and works great for my 75 gallon tank!I could probably of purchased two though to be honest, if you’ve got a 70+ gal tank I’d recommend two even though it says it’s good for such a big tank.

Absolutely terrible.
Shocked that these are even available still. They just flat out do not work.

Worth the extra cost
This diffuser costs more than most you will find in pet stores, and I was mildly appalled. But once I hooked it up in my Nano 3.5 gallon I recognized its value. So the normal small bubblers you get in store push air through tiny spots instead of throughout the entire stone, this makes perfect micro bubbles that are evenly dispersed. A regular air stone (~$3) was shooting water out of the tank but this one creates a minimal “fizzy” surface. It doesn’t go all over the place. I plan on getting one for each of my Nano/pico aquariums because now that I have one, all the other ones are really disappointing.

doesn't come with tube or pump
This doesn't come with anything but the base, i.e. the tube in the picture and some device to pump air are not included so will have to spend some additional $$ on those

Fish loves it but could be bigger.
