I am really liking these books. I read #3 Before this one so this actually the third of the series I have read so far. They are good stories that are building and changing. The first was about the fact that they were genetically engineered from humans animal DNA and born from surrogate mothers in a lab environment. From then on they were basically experimented on, trained and tortured until they finally escaped.Then they went into hiding from the powerful Genetics Council that created them and kept sending mercenaries after them. Though at thee end of the book, they came out to the Media and to the government in hearings about how they were created an tortured. Now, they have connected with over a hundred other feline breeds and are working to connect with som wolf breeds and are living at a huge plantation in Virginia that the Government provided for them with CIA support and trying to keep it fortified against attacks from the Genetics Council and any groups against genetically altered species.This book is about Taber and Roni who first met when the original family from book 1 was in hiding. Taber found Roni when she was 11 and protected her often. She work at his auto Mechanic Garage from the time she was 16 Till she was 22 and they were attracted to each other. They were almost together but someone got in the way. The romance is beyond steamy. And the plot keeps you interested throughout.There are over 30 of these Breeds books overall. Not all of them are feline breeds. I can see myself wanting to read quite a few if not all of them. However, they are not cheap or on Kindle Unlimited. I hope they go on sale every now and then.

Like the first book ‘Tempting the Beast’ it is an extremely erotic book. However, we are given a glimpse of the pain both emotionally and physically of Taber and Roni. But it is a small glimpse and I wish L.L. had dug a little more into the emotional side of the two. Another thing missing is the point of view of any of the antagonists or get the view of the larger world. Though from the final scene we could be getting a little more insight into the bad guy's thoughts.Elizabeths Wolf (2005) Breed Book 3/Wolf Book 1

Laura Leigh has always been one of my favorite authors .She inspired me to write shifter books. There is nothing she has written that I have read. I wait impatiently for her new ones, to be release. I am usually the 1st in line. Or have pre-ordered it. I love her style and the way she captures a character's heart, as well as describes them vividly in a way that makes you pictured them and want to meet them yourself. Her stories or vivid and her characters are intense can't wait for the next one. Thank you, Laura keep writing

This story is not new to me and reading it again was better than the first time! Being the 2nd book of the Feline Breeds made me want to read more about them. Now, they have been united with their Wolf/Coyote brothers and sisters to make one of the best series ever written! Not to mention more of their Feline family members coming out and finding love as well! Start from the beginning and read ALL of the books. They are addictive and worth getting! I am a Lora Leigh fan for life!

How can two lost, lonely souls overcome all of the pain and misunderstanding to find the HEA they both need? This book is a fantastic representation of the joy, love and happiness rising above the past can bring. From the beginning to the end I am drawn into this story over and over again. The strength of character and passion that this author brings to her books is sure to intrigue even the more reluctant of romance readers to continue turning the pages. I can’t wait to read the next book.

The author notes on her website that the series was published over a few publishing houses initially and the series sequencing is hard to catch because titles are not set in true order and the mix between the different breeds makes for confusion in reading the titles. The sequencing on her website and the book descriptions are sketchy or incorrect. However, if you want a summer series to read, this is a good light read.7 out of 10 Bookends
