Excellent Book! I have had my circular sock machine for many years but I hadn't used it in the last couple of years. This book was just what I needed to get me started again! In addition to refreshing my memory while working through the projects, I also learned a lot of alternative ways to do things that I had previously done one certain way. Some of these things I will happily never do again (LOL) while others are going to be part of my regular process in the future. Thanks, Lucy, for writing this great book for all of us "crankers."

I was looking for exactly this, a beginner circular sock machine book to help me decide which machine to buy and teach me how to use it. So far I went through half of the book. Great piece of work. the images are a bit blurry and low quality, excellent book besides that.

Having worked with vintage circular sock machines for probably many, many years, Lucy Best understands them better than anyone. Her books take a new user step-by-step the the learning process. These are the best CSM instructional books on the market!

A little more difficult than expected

The currently popular CKMs are made differently than the one this book is written for. I tried to apply the info inside to my machines, but I couldn't make it work. Had to return it.

Excellent beginner book to work with machine manual. Very useful to keep re-reading to remind oneself of what to do and not do to succeed on a circular sock machine.
