The gold standard
This is definitively the gold standard among so called suitcase inverter generators. These things are as quiet in person as the specs indicate, especially at partial loads (even 1,200 watt+) using Eco throttle. Beautifully clean and consistent power. Fuel efficient. To hell and back reliability, durability, and longevity. Small, lightweight, highly portable...probably any able bodied adult can put one wherever they want. If you are considering buying this model of generator you probably already know all of the awesome positives. It's still not completely perfect. There is no fuel gauge and it does not come with a precise hour meter (it does have a function, upon startup, where the green indicator light blinks 0-5 times indicating 0-100, over 100, over 200, over 300, over 400, or over 500 hours).Mine of course runs great and handled everything (within rating) I threw at it beautifully, including running my (natural gas) furnace and lighting and fridge circuits through my transfer switch (get an L5-30 to L14-30 or 5-15 to L14-30, hots bridged, adapter for your 2200i or 2200i companion and you can power 120v circuits on a transfer switch made for larger gens, just don't try to run too much at once of course)Recommended other items:-A screw in oil change tube. Yes the EU2200i has a larger oil fill and drain than the EU2000i, but it's still far from ideal. Easy fix. It's a HONDA, what more do I have to say?
I bought 2 of these to use together. They're quiet as a mouse, frugal with gas consumption, easy to maintain, etc. I have no complaints.....they are pricey, however....

It’s A Honda - ‘Nuf Said
Starts every time on the first pull, runs very well, there is simply nothing compares to a Honda generator. We RV 45 weeks a year and often boondock. This is well worth the investment premium you pay for a Honda.

Sweet little Honda units live up to their reputation
Great little units. 2 when connected, power a 30 amp Airstream travel trailer’s AC and everything else! Love these things, they purr, they’re super simple to operate, easy to start, and expected to be long lived - due to their superior Honda small engine DNA. Would buy again. Would highly recommend the 2200i as a pair. They are also fairly easy to move around by the handle. Might seek out a bigger fuel tank to feed them if I ever went boondocking way off grid.

Interesting
Works great with the cable, really burns through gas unlike the regular ones which is odd but once it ran out it still used the 30amp but you could hear when it ramped up and the other ran out of fuel

Honda eu2200i
What’s to say ? Honda inverters are second to none . Added this to another one I had purchased for my rv travel trailer. Off grid camping. Linked together they preform outstanding and noise is minimal. Highly recommended
