This review is for the Unichrome Adjustable Friction Lid Stay. Item arrived on time and does exactly what its supposed to do. Build quality seems to be good, the adjustment knob works well.

This thing does exactly what it's supposed to, it would get five stars if it actually came with its own set of screws.

It would be nice to have an installation guide. Similar products that I have purchased have one that shows the optimal mounting position. Be careful if you need to reverse it that you pay close attention to how it is put together as there are a surprising number of parts and the order is important. I was disappointed that it didn't include any mounting screws. That was not a problem for me as I have many on hand. All that said, it is well made and works great for my application.

Good old fashion design and quality

Okay-ish build quality, Lacking matching slotted screws ($6 chrome slotted) is cheaping out.
