I have wanted to buy an infra-red thermometer for a few years now and I finally decided to bite the bullet and get one. I'm a scientist by trade but do a lot of home baking; so I wanted one with as much information and accuracy as I could get.This thermometer was perfect! It arrived quickly and with the battery so no messing around needed! It's was up and running in less than 1 min. I am very impressed with the accuracy as I tested it against some calibrated thermometers (scientist)!I've already had a go with some sugar work (baking) and it is so much easier then with a pronged digital thermometer! Unfortunately it doesn't read through an oven door but that is OK for me.
