Meffert's Ghost Cube - The Original Shape-Shifting 3D Brainteaser Puzzle - Travel-Friendly Fun for Ages 9 - Adult

This is a pretty unique looking puzzle toy we got for the boring sections of road trips. The way it rotates is much more restrictive than a rubik's cube, but it seems even more difficult to get used to. This is a nice unique gift for someone who likes little puzzle toys to work on, but you don't know if they already have a standard rubik's cube. I LOVE the black and white styling, I think it stands out way more than if they were multi colored. It also makes you concentrate more on shapes than colors, which probably is acting on different parts of your brain.I have no idea how I'm going to solve this, or even what the tricks might be. I'm going to have to search for videos for hints.

Disappointed. I was really excited about this cube, but unfortunately it came apart almost immediately.Partway through my first solve, it slipped out of my hand, and when it hit the table, a few pieces fell out.At that point, I knew there was no going back because it would drive me insane to attempt such a complicated puzzle not knowing if I had put those pieces back in a way that made it unsolvable... So I took it all the way apart.Now I have to attempt to reassemble it if I want to try again at solving.Overall cool design, but the quality is not what I would expect from a cube that costs around $30.

This is a really neat Rubik's cube and would make a fun gift for anyone who mast mastered the original. Ours broke after a few days. I think it is from trying to turn it in ways it is not able to turn. But the only way to figure out if it will turn a certain way, is to try. Once it is in pieces it's even harder to reassemble.

This cube puzzle has a very unique design to it that seems to limit your movements, but in fact the number of combinations are staggering. It is considerable more challenging than your average cube, especially since you aren't trying to get colors together but are trying to regain a cube shape. If you have someone that has mastered the basic cube, throw this into the mix for an extra level of challenge.

My teenage daughter was using the cube gently and it fell apart in her hands. There was no way we could figure out how to put it back together. Very disappointed.

I'm probably a mean guy for doing this, but I gifted this to a friend for his birthday. He's been getting better and better at these speed cubes. He was able to solve a speed cube with the thinner lines up top. So, being the great person I am, decided to really challenge him. Its frustrating, it turns so weird, but still smooth. It just doesn't make sense.This cube gives me the "What's the point" vibes. It's great.

How fun is this? If you children have mastered a variety of cubes, as mine have, this is a good new challenge. Great look. Great gift. Tricky new adventure.

I ordered this because it looked interesting and it had my name on it, but when my granddaughter saw it she picked it up and it slipped out of her hands and broke into pieces! Trying to figure out how to put it back together wasn't easy because she had already twisted it a few times, I really haven't messed with it since.
