Fantastic quality kit!
This is an excellently built kit, both the V-mount and the battery itself. The metal is sturdy with tight tolerances making it a satisfying experience and providing a professional look. The battery is also nice with the built-in display. It displays helpful information such as charge time, power draw, and more. The battery also lasts longer than my Neewer 99wh battery, so that is a plus. It is expensive, but I would say the value is definitely there. It is also plug and play, making use simple via USB-C. No buttons to press. The abundance of ports also helps. One suggestion for potential purchasers is to buy a pack of right-angle USB-C cables; they really clean up the look and make it easier to work with. It is heavy and kind of large, but size is unavoidable with higher capacity batteries. I would say this is an ideal size/capacity for my A7IV rig for all-day shoots. Also, I recently used it in the heavy rain and it held up despite not being covered well.

Great battery, no complaints.
Great little battery. Small form factor, which is nice when you need a setup that can be used in cramped spaces.

Powerful, Compact, and Built for Professionals!
The SMALLRIG VB99 Pro V Mount Battery is hands-down one of the best power solutions I’ve added to my kit. Despite its compact size, it packs a serious punch with 99Wh / 6800mAh capacity and a 100W output, giving me plenty of runtime for my camera, monitor, and accessories all day long. The 2.5-hour full charge time is a huge win — quick enough to turn around between setups or while on location. It comes with a V-lock plate and dual 15mm rod clamp, which make rig integration super easy and stable. The multiple 1/4”-20 and 3/8”-16 threaded holes are super useful for custom mounting options, and the build quality is exactly what you’d expect from SmallRig — solid, reliable, and thoughtfully engineered. If you’re looking for a compact V-mount battery that delivers pro-level performance without the bulk, the VB99 Pro is an excellent investment. Highly recommended for filmmakers, DPs, and content creators on the move!

Great value and versatile upgrade to the original VB99
UPDATE - 2024.06.10Bottom line - if you have a battery that won’t work with an Atomos device via the 12V barrel port, contact SmallRig.After I posted my review, Smallrig reached out to me and wanted to help. They were able to replace my original batteries with ones that worked with the Ninja V Plus from the 12V port. They also replaced my mini v mounts so that they properly locked the battery in. The latch doesn’t pop out fully like on some other v mount accessories but I can confirm that I wasn’t able to apply any amount of force to separate the batteries from the plate without damaging your rig. In both cases, I had purchased products from early manufacturing runs and it seems they sorted these issues out after a bit. These are still my favorite v mount battery packs as they are so versatile and really offer insane value because they don’t require a traditional battery plate or v mount charger.Original Review - Seemed like a big improvement over the original - Aluminum body, better placement of ports, color screen with more information, lower/no self discharge. Unfortunately there are two things that keep it from being great. The first is that when used with the SmallRig V-Mount Battery Plate (4064B, the small all in one that is practically perfect for Sony FX3/FX30), the battery isn't completely locked in - if the battery is pushed from the bottom or pulled from the top, the battery will come out of the plate (tested on two different units). Second, please see the included notice from their website. The Atomos Ninja monitors are probably one of the most common 12V devices out there, so it is disappointing to see that they aren't compatible w/ the 12V barrel port. My guess is that the power control module can't handle the inrush current on startup. Otherwise a fine product.

Great Battery for my Sony FX-3 Rig
The battery is pretty good. It mounts nicely on my Sony FX-3 rig, while it powers both the FX-3 and the Ninja V monitor. I do wish the battery life was a bit longer, but I know I'm putting a heavy drain on the battery. The battery is beautifully designed, and the digital display on the battery is top notch and informative. It feels well-made. I'd highly recommend it for others seeking to add some extra power to their rigs. I will be purchasing a second one when I get a chance.

I appreciate their professionalism and empathy towards the challenges faced by creators. Thank you.P.S. Special thanks to Alex from the customer service ☺️--The type C (out) port of this battery (VB99 Pro) doesn't work. It does not respond at all. I tried different cables and devices. It's clearly a faulty product with expensive price tag.I'm frustrated. My filming day was at risk because of this product.P.S. I might update my comment if there will be any assistance offered from SmallRig
