Embody Headrest Compatible with Herman Miller Embody Chair (Black Balance)

Doesn’t really match the quality of the chair. It works as it’s supposed to but it hooks on the top of the backrest. It naturally moves when you lay your head on it because the hook is resting on the backrest cushion. It’s hard to get it adjusted as well because you can’t reach the adjustments while sitting on the chair.

The build quality is pretty good, the headrest itself is very solid. The problem is that the design itself and especially how it attaches to the chair is horrible, the headrest easily shifts side to side. The headrest is very much the style where you have to put your head against it with no option to adjust to support the curve of your neck. You might justify ignoring these issues if it was a more competitive price, but it costs as much as the headrest from Atlas. I originally went with this one because Atlas had a backlog and this could ship immediately but it was not worth it. Edit: forgot to mention the upholstery. Its available in some fabrics Atlas doesn't carry that used to be on the Embody which is good. However, the cushioning underneath the fabric is far worse, way too dense for a headrest to the extent it barely compresses.

Little tricky to set up. Fabric doesn't match color exactly. Could probably be a little cheaper. Also, shipping was several days late. It works though.

I bought this for my Embody chair but am not a huge fan. There’s a different brand name that makes a higher quality one than this which I would recommend over this one, if you are shopping around. This one is functional but I’m not using it on my chair.
